Can anyone give advice on finding music for downloading?
I'm getting to the point of finishing copying my CDs on to a memory stick, so I'd like to move on to finding songs via the 'net that I can just download and copy.
I’ve always wondered if the 1,000 songs I have on amazon music could be download some way.
I’m guessing no.
I usually find what I need on YouTube. There are programs like Any Video Converter that will download YouTube content
Amazon is worth $773 billion.
My guess is they figured out a scheme to prevent you from doing that.
If you’ve purchased the song you can download it as an MP3 - if you’re “renting” it through the service, no.
There are programs out there that will record audio streams - might try one of those.
Thank you.
But I’m still having trouble working the damn TV remote.
Can’t help with experience but here are some sites that may be of interest.
I shall try!
Then I will finally tackle that TV remote once and for all :)
Piracy. Hard to overcome on the net. Ask your friends and family for iTunes gift cards.
But if I have amazon music then i should be able to play it through some device in the car.
I’d be happy with that :)
I'm not in favor of trying to "rip off" music providers. Not so much in the spirit of FR. Come to think about it, Jesus of Nazareth was in favor of that approach, as well.
If you have a smartphone and the car is new enough to have Bluetooth, you can easily synch the phone to the car’s stereo and play amazon content through the car speakers.
Yeah it’s a recent Challenger and has all the connections and doohickeys :)
Hate to get technical on ya!
For me that IS technical :)
IT CAN’T BE THAT HARD!!! :(
My watch changes the date at noon. I fixed it but now Tuesday means Wednesday.
After encoding most of my CD collection, I’ll still buy a CD if I see one in a store that I want, but mostly now I just go to Amazon and download albums. The quality is usually pretty good, they’re not copy protected so I can put them anywhere I want - (but I don’t put them on a site for freeloaders - sorry, buy your own), and they’re mp3 format. I don’t do iTunes for 2 reasons, one they’re aac files which are a pain - and two - you have to download and install that crappy iTunes program. That thing is a dog. None of that nonsense with Amazon - mp3’s, all you need is a web browser - and the Artists are still duely compensated.
In terms of sound quality, MP3 & MP4 (iTunes) are at the bottom of the barrel.
CDs offer noticeably higher sound quality and can be ripped at their full 16-bit quality.
Then there are Hi-Rez “24-bit/192khz” digital files that get close to the original master tape in sound quality.
Don't be a cheapskate.
