(CHICAGO) People heading to Philadelphia Romanian Church in Ravenswood on Sunday might have a hard time finding a parking spot. Ald. Matt Martin (47th) said no-parking signs have been put up for several surrounding blocks near the church at 1713 W. Sunnyside Ave. The signs have been mounted on Sunnyside Avenue between Greenview and Ravenswood avenues, and Paulina Street between Lawrence and Berteau avenues. The parking ban is in effect from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. Martin said the signs were put up at the direction of the Mayor’s office, in response to plans by the church to hold...

This date in 1994 was the last on earth for Pogo the Clown — better known as John Wayne Gacy...When he wasn’t raping and murdering, he kept up appearances as a Democratic machine operative (once photographed with First Lady Rosalynn Carter) and amateur block party harlequin...

... The acting director of national intelligence (Richard Grenell) has decided that it's time for America to stop sharing information with countries who aren't as pro-LGBT as he is -- a view that's eerily similar to Hillary Clinton's State Department, where ideological blackmail was the order of every day. Instead, reverting to the cultural imperialism of the Obama years, he'd rather strong-arm countries -- putting national security on the line in the process... ..."I am not a seat warmer," Grenell warned. "The president asked me to do a job, and I am going to do the job to the best...

Former Army intelligence analyst Chelsea Manning tried to “take her own life” in a Virginia jail on Wednesday ahead of a looming court date, her legal team said in a statement. She has been recovering and is still expected to appear in court for a hearing Friday after refusing to testify before a grand jury in a WikiLeaks probe, the attorneys said. Manning was re-arrested last May for failing to comply with the subpoena to testify after serving two months for the same issue. A judge is set to rule Friday on a motion to terminate the civil contempt sanctions...
  • Joy Reid: Children of Trump Supporters Are a Coronavirus Threat to 'Your Kids'

Joy Reid indulged in some particularly ugly scapegoating/scaremongering this morning. On her MSNBC show today, Reid twice depicted the children of Trump supporters as a coronavirus threat to "your kids." Reid's notion was that Trump supporters, "God love 'em," are gullible, credulous rubes who blindly believe anything the president says. And since President Trump has supposedly claimed that coronavirus is a "hoax," his supporters will ignore their children's symptoms, and send them off to school where they can infect "your kids."Get the rest of the story and view the video here.

Lawyers for columnist E. Jean Carroll, who accused President Trump of raping her in a Manhattan department store in the 1990s, are seeking to collect DNA evidence from the president. . . . “After Trump sexually assaulted me, I took the black dress I had been wearing and hung it in my closet,” Carroll said in a statement to The Hill on Thursday. “I only wore it once since then and that was at the photoshoot for the New York Magazine article about my book.
  • Don Lemon Digs a Deeper Hole with His Terrible Apology In Making Fun of Trump's Supporters, Denying Obvious Bigotry

Don Lemon, alleged news reporter at CNN, had a merry old time making fun of Donald Trump and his supporters on his program with two other yahoos who thought it was hysterical to mock Southern accents and question our ability to read good. After his unbelievably stupid breakdown on air, where he pretended to wipe tears from his eyes because he was laughing so hard, he is now claiming he had no idea what his guests were actually saying. Yeah, right. "This is personally important to me to address this," Lemon said at the end of his show on Tuesday....

CNN anchor Don Lemon on Tuesday night addressed a segment from the weekend that drew criticism from President Trump in which the host laughed after a guest mocked supporters of the president. "Ask anyone who knows me," Lemon said at the end of his show Tuesday while addressing the segment. "They'll tell you: I don't believe in belittling people ... for who they are, for what they believe or where they're from." Lemon said that while he found the "joke" from the guest to be funny at the time, he "didn't catch everything that was said." "I was laughing at...

Three years into President Donald Trump’s first term and the news media still don’t understand how we got here. Saturday, CNN Anchor Don Lemon show blasted Trump, his administration and his supporters. It was almost like CNN was trying its best to create a clip Trump could use in an ad to win his second term. That meant Lemon, who last June said he might have to leave TV because of “toxicity,” laughed uproariously at his own toxic TV show. And the network that regularly complains about “hateful speech” by the administration, actually promoted the incident.

Washington (CNN)President Donald Trump is dishonest about a whole lot of things. But he is rarely as comprehensively dishonest as he has been about his dealings with Ukraine and the impeachment inquiry they have triggered. Relentless deceit has seemed to be his primary defense strategy in the court of public opinion. Trump has made false claims about almost every separate component of the story, from his July phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the whistleblower who complained about the call to Democrats' impeachment inquiry hearings. The President is dissembling about so many different topics at once that it...

WARNING: This content is extremely graphic and disturbing. A video shared to Facebook has not only raised eyebrows, but is causing people to question the social media organization’s bias. Azeret Nichols posted a video of a drag queen performing in what appears to be a bar, singing along to Kesha’s “Cannibal,” while sporting a fake pregnant belly. After a moment, the drag queen takes a knife and begins cutting into the belly, and then reaches inside to dip his hands into fake blood, which he scoops into a glass and drinks. He then proceeds to pull a fake baby out...

The mayor of a mid-sized Midwest city whose name no one could pronounce at the start of this year has come a long way in the Democratic primary. For a rising star in the party, vastly over-performing expectations in a crowded presidential field would easily be considered a victory in its own way. But there’s real reason to think Pete Buttigieg could yet win this nomination outright. One such rather plausible scenario is starting to develop right before our eyes. It starts, as these things so often do, in Iowa.

Oversight committee underboss, a Pelosi favorite, lays bare Democrat buffoonery. Her right pectoral region is pixilated but as the photo makes clear, this is no wardrobe malfunction. Rep. Katie Hill, 32, sits naked in a comfy chair bushing the hair of a fully clothed woman, whose face is also pixilated. She plays with her phone as the California Democrat, Vice Chair of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform, brushes out at a snarl, and the photo’s back story is indeed tangled. Red State released the photo, and others, with an expose by Jennifer Van Laar explaining, “Rep. Hill was...

Beto to Obama: Hold my beer. Barack Obama's IRS may have targeted conservative groups for extra scrutiny, but Obama never pledged to strip tax-exempt status from organizations that disagreed with his position on an issue. Yet on Thursday, former Rep. Beto O'Rourke (D-Texas) said he would strip tax-exempt status from any religious organization that supports traditional marriage as defined by one man and one woman. In fact, his position essentially amounts to a government preference for pro-gay marriage religious bodies that likely violates the Establishment Clause. CNN's Don Lemon quoted O'Rourke's policy on LGBT issues, which states: "Freedom of religion...

Actor Jussie Smollett has hit back at a social media post comparing him to a schoolgirl who claimed she was pinned down and had her dreadlocks cut off. Self-help internet star, Derrick Jackson, posted a comment on Instagram comparing the former Empire actor to Amari Allen, who alleged three white boys hacked off her hair, then retracted the claims. Smollett then fired back in a lengthy post, claiming he 'hadn't lied about a thing', when he alleged two men attacked him in a racial and homophobic assault. The row started when The Shade Room posted a screenshot on Instagram of...

Ignoring the millions of unborn babies who have been slaughtered in abortions, presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg suggested that true Christians would take care of their neighbor by supporting his environmental policies. Buttigieg, a pro-abortion Democrat and the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, touted his Christian faith during a climate change town hall Wednesday, according to National Review. “Let’s talk in language that is understood across the heartland about faith,” he said. “If you believe that God is watching as poison is being belched into the air of creation, and people are being harmed by it, countries are at risk of...

Actress Debra Messing appears to have endorsed an Alabama church's message that black supporters of President Trump are mentally ill. The "Will & Grace" star responded "THANK YOU #Alabama" Saturday to a tweet about a Baptist church in Birmingham that displayed a sign reading: "A black vote for Trump is mental illness." The other side of the sign reportedly accused white Trump supporters of racism. According to WVTM, the church's pastor claimed that Trump voters supported "institutionalized racism."
