Utah beauty queen accused of throwing bombs resigns title A Utah beauty queen accused along with three friends of throwing homemade bombs in a Salt Lake City suburb resigned her Miss Riverton title on Tuesday, according to a statement posted on the city's website. In the statement, city officials said they had been informed by the director of the Miss Riverton Pageant that Kendra Gill, 18, had resigned her position effective that day. A Lake Elsinore man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of trying to make a bomb after he went to a hospital emergency room with his hand blown off. Benjamin Kuzelka, 23, reportedly told hospital staff that he suffered a gunshot wound, but they determined that the injury was inconsistent with a gunshot wound. Authorities were called and sent to Kuzelka's home, where they found explosives, as well as a sophisticated marijuana-growing operation. The explosives found inside were reportedly the highly sensitive TATP. Nazi paraphenalia was also found inside the home. The home is a licensed daycare facility called Kuzelka Daycare....

A New Haven man is under arrest after police found pipe bombs and a weapon in his vehicle late Saturday,  Marlon Reddick, 44 was stopped by West Haven Police last night around 11:00 p.m. in the area of Elm Street and Kimberly Avenue for equipment violations. During the motor vehicle stop, officers observed a clear plastic bag containing pills in the passenger compartment of the vehicle. After Reddick claimed no knowledge of the pills, the officers asked him to exit the vehicle as they continued their investigation, according to a police report. FREDERICK, Md. -- Frederick City police said no one was injured when two home-made explosives were detonated in two locations, just over two miles apart Sunday night. Police received reports of explosions on Wyn Court and in the 500 block of Hillcrest Drive about 9:45 p.m., authorities said.
