It is widely accepted that the Ukrainian crisis erupted into a military conflict on February 24, 2022, with the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Contrary to conventional wisdom, the seeds of the hostilities were planted about thirty years earlier by President Clinton and, later, by George W. Bush, both of whom recklessly pushed for NATO’s eastward expansion.

An emergency phone call between a distressed woman put in danger by a home intruder and a 9-1-1 operator who says she has no officers to dispatch perfectly illustrates the importance of gun ownership. In the 9-1-1 phone call going viral on social media, a woman who locked herself inside her home explains to the operator her angry violent ex-boyfriend who has hospitalized her in the past is outside her home attempting to break in. [snip] “My ex-boyfriend is trying to break into my house. I’m not letting him in, but he’s like trying to break down the door and...

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A Gwinnett County home invasion backfired on the suspects when police say the homeowner shot and killed one of them, leading to the other two suspects now facing charges for their friend’s death. Myles Coston, 19, faced a judge Wednesday charged with felony murder from the shooting that happened April 23. Geno Hall, 20, is also in jail charged with felony murder. Investigators believe that their accomplice, Leon Summers, was shot and killed because of the felony home invasion that Coston and Hall were involved in. The victim and the suspects exchanged gunfire, according to police,...

A homeowner in Tennessee shot two intruders, killing one, Friday night after the men tased the family’s dog and held their teenage son at gunpoint, authorities said. The alleged intruder, identified as 52-year-old Kevin Ford, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other intruder, identified as 42-year-old Clifford Wright, was located at the Salvation Army on Main Street with multiple gunshot...

The past several days have seen what seems to be an unusually large surge of alleged criminal home invaders being shot and killed by armed citizens. Crime has predictably spiked with increasingly anti-police Democrats in charge of both Congress and the executive branch, and gun sales have also hit record highs as people look to protect themselves and their families from the encroaching lawlessness. Three of the shootings occurred in California, a Democrat-run state that's been soft on crime for decades (via Fox News). A California man in his 60s shot and killed a 27-year-old armed man who broke into...

In what is surely an attempt by the Canadian state to make people fear the very idea of defending themselves and their families, a man has been charged with attempted murder after wrestling a gun from one of three armed home invaders and shooting one of them (non-life threatening injury). Why is it that Canada (and other nations) are so determined to ensure that the population is unable to adequately protect themselves? Kyle Earl Munroe was at home with a friend when three armed intruders entered his home, he and the other man struggled with the intruders, Munroe managed to...

They attacked the mother, father, and young daughter while two 19-year-old twin brothers attempted to barricade themselves in their room. After the intruders threatened to shoot their little sister, however, the brothers surrendered to them"They had my little sister at gunpoint, so we couldn't do anything," 19-year-old Rene Garcia told KVUE. The Oklahoma woman accused of acting as a would-be getaway driver for a botched burglary in Broken Arrow, Monday, is speaking out about the crime. Her three accomplices were shot and killed by the homeowner’s son. She wants the man who killed her friends to know she doesn’t blame him for doing what he did.

Lock & Load If Hillary Clinton gets her way, the concept of firearm ownership as an individual right will be eliminated. That’s not up for debate. She, her campaign, and her daughter have repeatedly signaled that she’ll appoint Supreme Court justices who will overturn D.C. vs Heller as part of her ongoing effort to gut the 2nd Amendment. Never mind that law-abiding citizens use firearms for self-defense every single day. Your ability to defend your family, home, and property irrelevant. Her agenda is all that matters. One wonders what she’d say to the woman who appears in the video below...

In this video from South Africa, we see the clear utility of an alarm system and or a dog. Neither were available in this case, and it was only luck or God that aided the armed residents. The cats were useless. Link to video With today's technology, audio would be an easy addition. The residents are armed with revolvers, likely five shot revolvers, because the frame appears fairly small. It is something to consider that there were three invaders, and the woman fired two shots, without any obvious hits. Clearly, more firepower is called for. I believe that it...

“Assault rifle” saves teenagers from home invasion burglars No sooner do I finish explaining to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo why people might need 10 bullets for something other than blowing away deer, than the headlines burst with an example, courtesy of The Right Scoop and Poor Richard’s News. Not only was a “high capacity magazine” involved, but the story involves a teenage boy in Texas defending his even younger sister from a couple of thugs with one of those dreaded AR-15 “assault rifles”: • The teenage son of a Harris County Precinct 1 deputy shot a home intruder Tuesday...

The traditional gracious Mexican host would welcome honored guests by telling them, "Mi casa es su casa" --- my house is your house. It was a warm offer of hospitality. But of course a grateful guest would never take advantage of the literal words. Everybody understood that "Mi casa es su casa" was a polite fiction. Mexico today has flipped that polite phrase by exporting tens of millions of its poor people to the United States, and insisting they be treated as honored guests --- in our house. Today, the slogan of Mexico is "Su casa es mi casa" ---...

THE BABE IN THE BUNKER Barbara Simpson WND Exclusive Commentary Whose house is it, anyway? Posted: December 18, 2006 1:00 a.m. Eastern They're like the dinner guest who shows up with several friends who eat all the food, drink all the booze, snarf up the desserts, dominate the conversation, get loud and louder and n-e-v-e-r go home. In fact, they move in and act as though they deserve the new digs and everyone else should just chill. Amazingly, that's the position Americans face, and in fact, so do most Europeans. Immigrants, legal and otherwise, have an attitude of entitlement when...
