LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - With the U.S.-led war in Iraq dominating the news and people's thoughts, Sunday's (March 23) Academy Awards drew the smallest TV audience since Nielsen began tracking total viewers nearly 30 years ago. The Oscar show, which was interrupted twice for brief ABC News updates on the war, averaged about 33.1 million viewers, according to preliminary figures (final ratings will be released Tuesday).
