Hillary Clinton apologized for calling Mahatma Gandhi a "curry-eating cow hugger" during a fund-raiser in St. Louis.</p> <p>Some thought the phrase as well spun as Jimmy Carter's "Montezuma's revenge" and Jesse Jackson's "hymietown."</p> <p>But Sen. Clinton was mortified. She claimed the vast right-wing conspiracy slipped into the speech a copy of her diary entry about Bill after the Lewinsky affair broke.
