"There's one man in a devil costume. He's been following me for three years," Sen. Hillary Clinton complained to Newsday on Thursday. "Maybe he'll show up in Huntington." FreeRepublic.com's resident devil, "Dr. Raoul," didn't disappoint, showing up to protest Sen. Clinton's Book Revue book singing in Huntington, New York right on schedule Friday night. Raoul's costume dujour, however, was, "Rodham Hussein" - desert fatigues topped by a Hillary mask and burgundy beret. He was joined by a hearty contingent of fellow Freepers and a handful of independent protesters who gathered to show Hillary that not everyone was in her...

Hillary — No Truth AndNo Consequences, Part IIByLisa Fabrizio Toogood Reports [Wednesday, June 18, 2003; 12:01 a.m. EST]URL: http://ToogoodReports.com/ "Life is to rise and not to rest," says the motto of my old high school. And so last week, on a pleasure trip to Washington DC, when an opportunity to rise arose I was ready to go.Last week I hopefully saved some of you from parting with a nugget of your hard-earned cash by reviewing Time magazine's excerpt of Hillary Clinton's 'autobiography', Living History. Though I still have not read the entire book, I think it's more interesting to study...

Doctor Raoul and I met at Penn Station (thanks to cell phones--who knew there were two Acela waiting rooms?). The Doctor had already come up on the NJ Coast Line, with his Santa's sack of signs and costumes, plus bullhorn (which we were not allowed to use). We caught the 4:01 to Huntington and were met at the train by deadhead and alisasny. When the four of us got to the site, there were already a young man and a young woman holding signs. They were from Marist College. Later, other wonderful kids from Our Lady of Mercy Academy in Syosset,...

"I Love Hillary -- I don't care about the truth," a woman shouted from the open window of a minivan on New York Avenue in Huntington, Long Island, New York on Friday night. Former first lady Hillary Clinton had a pretty good turn out for her book signing -- Book Revue of Huntington, Long Island was packed to capacity on Friday. However, protestors were not too fond of the fact that Hillary was in town to support her book. Talk Radio legend Bob Grant of WOR710 in New York interviewed Carl Limbacher and I as protestors shouted "Buy the next...

Hillary is coming to red square (technically it's Harvard square) this monday. she will be at the Charles Park Hotel, across from Wordsworth bookstore on Brattle street. Her Heiness will be there at 12:00pm (noon), so i suggest getting there around 11:15/11:30am. I know many of us have to work but if the lefties can make it, we can too. when you get there i'll be the 16 year old, flag bearing, sign holding, politically motivated t-shirt wearing, republican with a big smile on my face. PLEASE TRY TO MAKE IT p.s. - i put New Hampshire as a topic...

The blaring music that’s now a standard feature at book signings by Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) is not part of a new summer marketing campaign. It’s an “audio protest” by Free Republic, a conservative group, whose members have been showing up with their boom boxes wherever Clinton appears. “We’re not hassling her,” said Kris Tinn, co-leader of the group’s Washington chapter. “It’s just our way of correcting her version of history.” Free Republic has put together what it calls the “2003 Hilla-Palooza” tape for local chapters to play outside bookstores, shopping malls or anywhere else Clinton is signing copies of...

Next year's hopeful, former Sen. Carol Moseley Braun (D-Ill.) addressed the Woman's National Democratic Club on Friday, receiving a warm but less-than overwhelming response. Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.), who claims she's still not running in 2004 but whom everyone expects to see on the ticket in 2008, held a book signing Thursday for her new biography, Living History. The response she received at the Trover Shop on Capitol Hill should...

"The Wal-Mart parking lot is shaping up to resemble an old-school gang fight. Except instead of knives and chains, the combatants use placards and really weak song parodies. The Hillaryites' tormentors are the Freepers, a fierce, warlike tribe from the Free Republic organization--a fire-breathing conservative band of Internet brothers who often call each other by their screen names, even in person. The gist of the Freeper complaint--one seconded by many mainstream book reviewers who are much less intense than they are--is that Hillary has been paid $8 million to perpetrate a fraud, one of the many tributary frauds being her...

Hillary Goes to Wal-Mart From the June 23, 2003 issue: The latest skirmish in the Clinton wars. by Matt Labash 06/23/2003, Volume 008, Issue 40 Fairfax, Virginia IT'S HARD TO DESCRIBE the electricity one feels when crossing this Northern Virginia strip-mall parking lot to attend Hillary Clinton's "Living History" book-signing. But I haven't been this excited about Wal-Mart since my one-hour photos came back in 25 minutes. It makes me feel all sprightly and young again--as if it were 1998. Hillary has yet to arrive, but already, her fans and detractors are sparring. On one side of the street, snaking...

LAKE FOREST PARK -- Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton swept through a bookstore here yesterday afternoon, signed close to 2,000 copies of her best-selling memoir, "Living History," in two hours and left behind a dazed crowd of admirers and a dozen Hillary haters. Third Place Books had issued 1,200 passes to customers beforehand. Audrey Nilles, who began planning for the event in May when she learned of Clinton's visit, took the day off work -- along with many others -- and arrived at 8 a.m. with a bundle of books under her arm. The line started moving after 11 a.m., and...

FReep Report: Yesterday my Dad, brother, and I went to protest Hitlery’s book-signing. This all came about kind of spur of the moment and it was interesting because this was to also be my brother’s first day of school. My Mom wasn’t thrilled that he would miss school to go to a protest, but we all figured she would cool down eventually. We got to the Barnes and Noble in Buckhead around 10:15 am. At that time Jim was the only one there; he was wearing a devil costume and held a sign saying “I sold my soul to Hillary.”...

The day was warm and sunny with nary a cloud in the sky as Doctor Raoul rolled into "The Avenue at White Marsh," on the outskirts of Baltimore. As the rest of us had not yet arrived, the good doctor made good use of his time by scouting the area and talking with various media on the scene. I arrived shortly after 6pm and met up with DR. We off-loaded our supplies and headed on over to the scene of Hillary!'s latest crime. As we walked up towards the book store - both of us loaded down with bags of...

I tried to exercise my free speech at the Hillary book signing in White Marsh, Maryland- and learned that liberals and bookstores are not always the defenders of free speech that they claim they are. I was escorted away by police to crowd cheers(pic inside) and joined my fellow freepers on a public median. I live in the White Marsh area, just north of Baltimore and thought I'd express my feelings about Hillarys new book. I made a simple sign "Lying History", parked my car at "The Avenue At White Marsh" and walked up to the block where everyone was...

Protesters have become a regular feature at book signings by Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.), but so far, according to Clinton's publisher, Simon & Schuster, they haven't hurt sales. Now Clinton may have another problem that could: conservative blonde nemesis Ann Coulter and her new bestseller, Treason. Living History, Clinton's book, continues to do a brisk business, yet by the beginning of the week Coulter's anti-liberal tome had buried it on Amazon's nonfiction bestseller list. Treason started the week in the No. 1 spot, while Living History had fallen out of the top 10. Unfazed, Clinton has kept a heavy schedule...

RIDGEWOOD With its velvet ropes, tight schedule, and high-strung aides, Hillary Rodham Clinton's book signing at Bookends on Friday was shaping up to be an event devoid of actual human emotion. But that was before the author strode into the room. Cameras flashed. Spines straightened, and hands clapped. The first few dozen of the hundreds of people in line at the bookstore leaned forward to look, and there was Clinton - Democratic New York senator, author, former first lady, famously humiliated spouse, and perhaps future presidential candidate - beaming her megawatt smile around the room. "Thank you for coming!" she...
