I tried to exercise my free speech at the Hillary book signing in White Marsh, Maryland- and learned that liberals and bookstores are not always the defenders of free speech that they claim they are. I was escorted away by police to crowd cheers(pic inside) and joined my fellow freepers on a public median.
I live in the White Marsh area, just north of Baltimore and thought I'd express my feelings about Hillarys new book. I made a simple sign "Lying History", parked my car at "The Avenue At White Marsh" and walked up to the block where everyone was lining up to get books signed.
To avoid any hassle of private property claims/tresspassing etc I purchased a soda from a store in the complex (thereby becoming a customer and patron of the complex) and sat down on the curb across from the bookstore with many other people awaiting Hillarys arrival.
I kept my sign folded and out of view as i sat there and talked to people about Hillary. I was told all about how Bush is worse than Hitler, that Hillary is brilliant, that Condi Rice is an idiot, that Republicans are all racists etc etc. I was very polite said things like "sure-trent lott should have been thrown out as should anyone that is racist or was in the KKK"-after they all agreed then I hit them with "Thats why Im dissapointed with the democratic party, we really need to get rid of Robert Byrd" I set many of these little traps without them catching on that I was a conservative. When asked what my sign said-I stated it was "Hillary for president" which made them very happy
As I waited I saw other freepers arrive with their signs and they were told by police that this was private property and they would have to go to the public median across from the complex. As I was a customer of the complex, I felt no need to go there.
Now totally alone, with at least 300 liberals all around me, my heart started to pound as hillary arrived in the back of the building away from me. There were several media cameras and a huge line of hillary supporters-not to mention some very badly disguised secret service, uniformed police, and private complex security.
It was now or never so I stood up, opened my "Lying History" sign and loudly stated "Hope you all enjoy the book!" "Enjoy the book now!"
Peoples jaws dropped and faces became contorted as a rush of police and security descended on me. I was told this was private property and I had to put my sign down and leave. I stated that I was a customer of the complex.. (keep in mind that I was outdoors on a closed street that was being used for people to line up for hillary and for others to walk through as they shopped)..and I showed the officer the drink I had purchased. The Baltimore County police office stated that I still had to leave and ordered me to lower my sign. I was respectful and stated that I was leaving but as my car was parked in the parking lot behind the bookstore I had to walk in that direction. He refused, again stating I had to leave in the other direction. I did not want to argue so I complied and as I was escorted away the crowd cheered. I waited for the cheer to die down and yelled "300 Liberals and A Bookstore-Where is the free speech you support?!!!" I repeated this again as the crowd went quiet to hear what I was saying. When they realized what I said, I swear some looked very perplexed-uneasy with the fact that the police they hate and the free speech they love had been turned upside down.
As I was led away I was followed by Baltimore County police bike patrol and then I saw my oasis. A group of fellow freepers already well established on the median in view (though a little far) from the bookstore.
As I met everyone and joined the protest there, at least 5 Baltimore County police officers stood on the other side of the road on the complex property and watched us for about 2 hours. Even a police helicopter circled us several times.
The good news is no one was arrested, and many cars honked and gave the thumbs up. There were some hillary supporters who engaged us in debate (calling us racists????) as they stood on complex property and shouted out to the median. For some reason they were not escorted off the "private property" for expressing their views.
As a resident of Baltimore County I wonder who paid for the police to guard private property for a "for profit" book signing. I know ravens stadium has to pay for and hire off duty police to work thier private events on their private property. I also wonder how Barnes and Noble and "The Avenue At White Marsh" (NOTE-THIS IS NOT WHITE MARSH MALL) will feel about losing my family as customers.

You illustrated, once again, the true hypocracy of the "sheeple" Left. And, the wolf(ves) they are being led by. Sounds like you should write a letter to the editor on the opinion page in your local paper.

I wish I could be as active as some of these great freepers! I dont want this thread to make it look like I was was the only one-I was just lucky this freep was nearby. They are the true freepers. God bless!
I read that she has said that any questions about the political chapters in her book are off limits.
Hillary hits the book signing circuit in my area on Thursday.

The paybacks for such damages would be deadly. Most do not want to end up on "the list".
