I just received word that my sister Sally was shot and killed last night in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Her ex-husband Shane died only 3 days ago. Their kids, Samantha, 18, and Christopher, 16, have lost both their parents in 3 days. I'm in complete shock. I loved her so much. Pottawattamie County Attorney Matt Wilber told the jury that the evidence in the first-degree murder trial of Michael Gunther tells the story of what happened in Sally Kennedy's trailer on the night that she was murdered. "Thank God the evidence tells the story," Wilber said. "Because Sally Kennedy can't tell it herself." Michael Gunther was sentenced today in Sarpy County, Nebraska to life without parole for the shooting death of Mike Zawodny last May. During the trial, he also openly admitted killing my sister Sally Kennedy, known here as 'HeartofGold'. I haven't gotten the details yet, but I'm told he also received an additional sentence on a gun charge. This opens the way for Gunther's transfer to Iowa to stand trial for Sally's murder, which will probably take place sometime in July.
