Just last week top Democrats were in high dungeon over what they said was President Bush's accusation they didn't care about national security. But now that Congressman Jim McDermott has given them a chance to prove that sentiment wrong, party leaders have gone AWOL. Just yesterday, Senior Senate Republican Trent Lott said McDermott's contention that Bush would lie to get the U.S. into a war, delivered from Baghdad no less, constituted "aiding an abetting the enemy."
