Political commentators joked that Biden’s staff is panicking after the gaffe-prone president said he would be "happy" to debate Trump during an interview with Howard Stern Friday. "I don't know if you're going to debate your opponent," Stern said. The president replied, "I am, somewhere, I don’t know when. I'm happy to debate him." Biden's comments represent a shift from past remarks about possibly debating Trump. Last month, he told reporters it would depend "on his behavior." Trump was quick to challenge Biden to debate him, declaring on Truth Social, "Everyone knows he doesn’t really mean it, but in case...

WASHINGTON — Reporters who were supposed to observe President Biden’s heavily promoted trilateral meeting with the leaders of Japan and the Philippines missed his remarks Thursday when press handlers left them standing downstairs in a hallway as the commander in chief spoke. The rare logistical snafu prevented journalists from witnessing the 81-year-old president’s opening remarks to Philippine President Bongbong Marcos and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in the White House East Room. The day’s print pool reporter, Michael Shear of the New York Times, relayed the unexpected dilemma in an emailed update to colleagues who were anticipating quotes from the...

The media may think their clever reporting is hiding Biden’s decline from the world, but the world is well aware of it. Particularly in Australia. Sky News Australia host Andrew Bolt spoke with psychiatrist Tanveer Ahmed on his show and discussed Ahmed’s take on the cognitive condition of the leader of the free world. They weren’t the only ones who noticed this strange behavior from Biden and things are just getting worse. The New York Times published an article earlier this year on how “uncomfortable” Biden’s age is “for him, his team, and his party

Everything has its own class system, and where there is a class system there is going to be a struggle. Take puppet wranglers for instance, not to be confused with puppeteers, they sit at the very bottom of the puppeteering world. Puppet wrangling is an on-set position unique to Henson and Henson-adjacent companies like Sesame Workshop and the Muppets. It is a highly specific subspecialty that requires a varied set of skills, not the least of which is knowing how to build and repair puppets. There are only about 25 people in the world who work as full-time wranglers —...

Joe Biden's aides are preventing him from taking questions, according to CNN's chief national affairs correspondent, who claimed that the president's advisors are regularly 'screaming at him to stop'. Jeff Zeleny spoke on Wednesday after Biden's much-hyped meeting with Vladimir Putin in Russia. Biden angrily confronted Zeleny's CNN colleague Kaitlan Collins, asking her: 'What the hell?' when she questioned him about the summit. Biden later apologized, before boarding the plane to leave.

[Catholic Caucus] McCarrick Case. The Question Was There, But Francis Didn’t Want To Hear It In the new curia in the process of being reshaped, the biggest new development is perhaps the dicastery for communication, in terms of both how it is structured and how it now functions. Its structure centralizes within itself the control of all Vatican media, including “L’Osservatore Romano,” the radio and TV, which previously were subject in everything to the “supervision” of the Vatican secretariat of state, while now this has been left with only the bureaucratic task of “giving guidelines concerning official communications.”As for its functioning,...

President Barack Obama should make the most of his "Daily Show" appearance on Wednesday night - charming the pants off Jon Stewart and the crowd, as he did when he showed up there two years ago. It's a terrific show, Stewart is a great interviewer and Obama makes good television. Then, the President should cancel all future trivial media appearances. While they may have kept him personally popular, in broad terms they've degraded the Obama brand. Obama's handlers were supposed to be smarter than this. They were supposed to use his celebrity strategically to advance his agenda. Instead, they've been...

... Sarah Palin is in revolt, it’s reported, angry that John McCain’s handlers forced her to wear haute couture; that she’s not been able to be herself before the media; and that Republican campaign strategy -- like the decision to give up on Michigan -- is askew. .... It's all about the political makeover of the Republican Party’s new great hope. For many senior Republicans, Obama appears sure to prevail Nov. 4 ... Advice is already incoming: She should at all costs avoid running for Congress, writes Ron Bonjean, former communications director for Speaker Dennis Hastert and Senate majority leader...

CAMP AL QA’IM, Iraq (Feb. 14, 2006) -- Inter-service rivalry is almost a tradition in the armed services, Marines, soldiers, sailors and airmen have all, at one time or another, joked about believed deficiencies in other services. Nothing is truer than the rivalry between the Marine Corps and the Air Force. Conflicts in the 21st Century, however, have yielded more opportunities for service members of all branches to work together toward a common goal. The western Al Anbar province of Iraq is no exception. Air Force Staff Sgt. Matthew D. Pierce, a military working dog handler with the 62nd Security...
