In the wake of protests at the University of Missouri, students of color at Guilford College are rallying against perceived racism on their campus. Guilford College is in Greensboro, North Carolina. Charges dropped in Guilford College case GREENSBORO -- Charges against all the Guilford College football players involved in a recent fight at the school are being dismissed, the Guilford County District Attorney's office said Wednesday. Six players had been facing assault charges following the January incident. Assistant District Attorney Howard Neumann said the decision stemmed from several factors, including conflicting witness statements. Three Palestinian students said they were beaten and were the target of ethnic slurs during the incident, while the father of one of the players said the Palestinian students had started the fight.

GREENSBORO -- Guilford College has asked five students involved in a weekend fight that some have labeled a hate crime to move off campus while police and school officials investigate. The students, three Guilford football players and two Palestinian students the players allegedly attacked, will still be allowed to attend class and study in the college library, said Guilford President Kent Chabotar. A third Palestinian student, who attends college in Raleigh and was visiting friends at Guilford, has also said he was assaulted during Saturday's altercation. A veteran of the 75th Ranger Regt who has a son playing football with the Guilford College team was at a game and asked the administration why the national colors were not displayed. He was told, before being escorted off campus,that the national colors represent oppression!
