Anna Mary Robertson Moses [Sept 7, 1860 - Dec 13, 1961] was born on a farm in Greenwich, New York, and was one of ten children. She had a happy childhood, but was somewhat impoverished. She grew up loving arts, crafts, and also became proficient in needlepoint and quilting. At age 27, she married one of the hired hands and had a family of 10 herself.
