A marijuana load of more than two tons was seized Friday by CBP Border Patrol Agents at the Interstate 35 checkpoint. Agents working at the checkpoint, 15 miles north of Laredo, reported intercepting the 4,181 pound narcotic contraband from a tractor trailer bearing license plates from North Carolina and Oklahoma. The cargo was searched after a drug-sniffing canine alerted toward the trailer, officials said. Further inspection with the dog led agents to 272 bundles of "refined marijuana," the report stated.
