With the arrival of the Fifteenth Doctor, portrayed by Ncuti Gatwa, fans’ concerns with the direction of the show are reflected, as ratings continuing to decline. A family that claimed a lodger owned the goblin brought it to the station in a suitcase. "We heard some screaming from the charge office and most officers who had knocked off rushed to see what was happening. At first everyone gathered around the suitcase, wanting to see what was inside," said a cop. The officer said a traditional healer who had come with the family opened the...

A little ingenuity and a desire to help World War II veterans like his grandfather have fueled a novel bar mitzvah project for a Buffalo Grove seventh-grader. He calls it “goblin insurance.” Just in time for Halloween, 12-year-old Sam Herzog is selling insurance to area homeowners to cover any suspicious trick-or-treat pranks that might turn up on their property this weekend. For instance, if pumpkins get smashed or toilet paper covers the trees, Herzog will come and clean it up. He is selling insurance to cover just those types of calamities done by mischievous ghouls or goblins and people are...

Håkon Robertsen has refused to tear down a condemned barn for fear of reprisals from 'little people' and is ready to sue local authorities to protect the building. Robertsen continues to resist a local order to tear down the derelict structure, and is currently being fined NOK 300 (USD 47.50) a day until he flattens the barn. Local authorities first ordered the barn demolished in February 2005 after complaints from Robertsen's neighbors and a new order was passed this autumn. Robertsen fears the consequences of tearing the building down. "I don't believe in ghosts, but underworld creatures have taken up...

Real orcs don't do windows While doing some research on the Uruk-hai, I came across an interesting fact: there were no Uruk-hai when Tolkien first wrote the chapter which introduced them. He hadn't conceived of them by that point. The original title for the chapter was "An Orc-raid".Well, that doesn't sound very exciting, does it? In fact, by the time Tolkien had reached this point in the story, Uruks (much less Uruk-hai) had yet to appear.Hang on, as Harry Potter might say. Let's back up a bit, and start over. While most people know that "orc" rarely occurs in The Hobbit...
