A drug dog alerted on the man at a border crossing.A man was stopped at the Mexican border wearing a girdle stuffed with heroin, according to customs officials. The suspect was stopped while trying to walk into the U.S. at the San Ysidro Port of Entry on Wednesday. A drug-sniffing dog alerted on the man, identified only as a 69-year-old Bell Gardens resident. Two pounds of heroin were found stuffed in the waistband of a girdle the man was wearing. The drugs were seized and the man was taken into custody.
