Illustration: Tara Jacoby Pope Lick Train Trestle Some say the terrifying being that haunts the Pope Lick train trestle in Louisville, Kentucky is a half-man, half-goat. Others say he’s an escaped circus animal that was mutated into a monster by a lightning strike on the tracks; still others say he was a farmer who once had intimate relations with a local goat. Whatever his origin story, one thing’s for certain: the Goatman of Pope Lick has just claimed his latest victim. Last week, an Ohio couple sought to investigate the Pope Lick Goatman for themselves. A woman named Roquel Bain, 26, from...

Yes Grant Wilson is the co-founder (with Jason Hawes) of The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS). TAPS is based in Warwick, Rhode Island. He is also the co-star and co-producer of "Ghost Hunters", a Syfy channel reality program that follows a group of people as they investigate paranormal phenomena and hunt for ghosts. Wilson recently left the TV show. He is married and has three sons. He is also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
  • Why Ghost Hunters Is the Best Science Show on TV

Of the questions that have troubled great thinkers these last few thousand years, the question of which TV science show is the best has proved among the hardest to resolve. This is partly because the science shows on television keep changing, but it is also a fact that work in the field has, until lately, been spotty and lackadaisical, undertaken more often by desperate science writers for an afternoon than by a dedicated specialist for an entire year. I want to thank the editors for giving me the time and space to pursue my own research to its full completion....
  • Ghost hunters rely on common sense ("Ghost Hunters" tv show/Sci-Fi channel)

Ghost hunters rely on common sense As Grant S. Wilson and Jason Hawes crept up the spiral staircase of the old lighthouse, they saw a figure grab the railing and look down at them. They quickened their steps, ran after him and found ... nothing. A dead end. Two padlocked doors. No one at all. Just another day in the life of "Ghost Hunters," the TV show on the Sci-Fi Channel that follows the real-life exploits of a team of unusual investigators. Now the public is invited to meet the stars of "Ghost Hunters" in person, Saturday, 1 to 5...

Remember "The Sixth Sense"? How the ghost's voices showed up on the tape recorder? Supposedly, that's what we have here. If you click the link above you can go to this Ghost Hunting group's website and listen to these soundbites of ghosts that were picked up when they visited supposedly haunted buildings. These weren't heard by human ear, but were (more or less) audible when they reviewed the tape. I'll include direct links to some of the better ones below. WARNING: Do not listen to these late at night, in the dark, especially in a creaky house. Spooky Halloween.

Ghost huntersBy Daniel Menhinnitt A team of ghost hunters experienced some spooky activity when they visited a pub in Thornton Heath. Jack Bryer and the rest of UK Paranormal Investigations spent a night at the Wheatsheaf Inn on Saturday after landlady Maria Seal told them the pub had been the site of some unexplained occurrences, including bottles moving on their own in the bar and a permanently cold boiler room. According to Mrs Seal the pub was once a court where prisoners were held before being hanged on Thornton Heath pond, then known as Gallows Green. The team set up...
