Rep. Hillary Scholten (D-MI) is calling for “action now” against the type of firearms that Democrats refer to as “ghost guns.” Such firearms are typically made from a parts kit–often an 80 percent kit–but some of the parts can be and sometimes are made on a 3D printer. Assembling such firearms requires considerable familiarity with the gun in view, as well as repeated visits to the gunsmith to get the firearm to a place where it operates dependably.

Second Amendment activists have scored a victory in the battle to have reality influence the debate over gun culture in the United States. For years, those who want a disarmed population have attempted to demonize homemade firearms as “ghost guns.” They have claimed they are an existential threat to the people of the USA and the world. The claim is that the lack of a serial number somehow makes a gun more dangerous. Serial numbers are easy to remove. Homemade guns have existed since before the Republic was founded. Serial numbers were not required on firearms until 1968. The claim a...

In today’s chapter of You Get What You Vote For, check out how left-wing policies are turning Beverly Hills into a boarded-up ghost town: High-end retail stores are closing down in Beverly Hills. This will be every city in California if they don’t stop the lootings pic.twitter.com/ghCOvlvU7s — Clown World ™ (@ClownWorld_) September 6, 2023 I lived in Los Angeles during the 2008 economic meltdown, which hit the state hard, but Beverly Hills never looked like this. Why would it? This is not a criticism, just an observation: the rich will always be rich. The rich will always have money...

The multiple criminal charges against former President Donald Trump are often described as unprecedented, and so they are. But Trump is not the first president to be named in a criminal indictment. That distinction, such as it is, belongs to Richard Nixon, the 37th president of the United States, still in office in March 1974 when a specially appointed prosecutor named Leon Jaworski indicted Nixon aides and advisers for their roles in the Watergate scandal. They were all the president's men, but Nixon himself was named as an "unindicted co-conspirator." That phrase was back in the news this week when...

A truck driver passing through Arizona says his dash cam appears to have caught what looks like a ghost – but of course, that's unconfirmed. Church says he was between Phoenix and Payson with no cars in sight. He described the figure as "just standing in the roadway as I passed by looks like you can see the lines through the legs making the figure." SR 87...

A white dog abandoned in the Nevada desert has been rescued after living among a pack of wild coyotes for close to a year. It all started when Nevada residents spotted a pack of coyotes on the outskirts of the neighboring deserts. The majority of the canines were unmistakably coyotes. Among their ranks, however, was a large white dog, the cheerful-looking pup apparently leading the pack. Experts believe the dog was dumped in the desert as a puppy and rather than killing him, the coyotes took him in as one of their own. The dog was clearly malnourished and injured,...
