Rep. Hillary Scholten (D-MI) is calling for “action now” against the type of firearms that Democrats refer to as “ghost guns.”
Such firearms are typically made from a parts kit–often an 80 percent kit–but some of the parts can be and sometimes are made on a 3D printer. Assembling such firearms requires considerable familiarity with the gun in view, as well as repeated visits to the gunsmith to get the firearm to a place where it operates dependably.

Guns that require no Federal paperwork of gobbledygook I would imagine. Thus, Democrats hate them and must move to make them illegal.
The left is brilliant in choosing names for everything, “ghost gun” makes no sense for a “kit gun” or all the other ways they could be described, but man is it effective and sexy, the mysterious and dangerously hidden threat from “ghost guns”.

And, then when any such law is in place the ATF will corrupt it to apply to anything — like painting your gun.
We all knew this was coming when the media started including the words “ghost gun” in every article regarding the murder. They also constantly mention the silencer which helps the left in their narrative that suppressors shouldn’t be allowed without registration. They want people to believe that without registration and a tax, a killer will be able to silently murder a person without someone just a few feet away from even hearing the shot.
They already have to be registered. You have to fill out a fed from and obtain a stamp to own one.
In answer to your question, yes they do haunt us. Just last night I woke up hearing a clicking sound. It was a ghost gun in our bedroom cocking it’s hammer. Worse yet it wasn’t even registered!
I was relieved once I learned it was owned by a known serial killer, then I knew everything was OK and went back to sleep. In parting, the gun told me to vote Democrat, and I will.
One can buy a .50 cal (.495 in.) cap and ball musket shipped by mail without any paperwork. Loaded with a bit of black powder and a chunk of lead (both by mail),
it’ll produce a big hole.
What would a ditzy politician from Michigan named “Hillary” know about “ghost guns”. Maybe the ditz should spend more time concentrating on the illegal alien invasion of America.
The left believes a killer will fill out forms and follow THEIR gun laws so therefore he won’t kill or murder?

I still remember when cheap shotguns and .22 rifles were sold without serial numbers.
Back about 55 years ago, Guns and Ammo magazine had a great article on firearms MADE BEHIND PRISON WALLS!
One was a semi auto with extended prison made magazine AND prison made cartridges. As the Popel Pocket Fisherman advertisements used to say....”AND IT REALLY REALLY WORKS!”
There was also several books published about home made firearms.

I know and they want to keep it that way. There had started to be a reasonable movement to do away with the tax and registration for suppressors. But this shooting has probably reduced the support for such a change.
At least now a person can get the registration approval in a week or two. Last year it was taking up to 8 or 10 months to received the stamp and get a suppressor purchase approved.

Believe it or not there are lots of people frightened of just the names of firearms.
These ghost guns are a nuisance. Criminals are using them in a growing number of crimes
If you lie on your fed forms about your drug addiction, you should go to jail. . . . Oh.
The problem still is not the guns. The problem of course is the people. The problem with people is that there are so many of them that are just no damn good.
