Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards issued a press statement today asking President Bush to fire chief White House strategist Karl Rove if he refuses to testify about allegedly improper political maneuvering within the executive branch. Most at issue is the firing of eight U.S. attorneys by Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.
