Yesterday I had no problem accessing Free Republic. Today after a Microsoft update all of my browsers say Free Republic is not secure and I have to go through a few clicks to convince my browsers that I really want to see FR anyway. Anyone else seeing this? Also, the 2004 build was installed on my computer last night.

I am getting a website security error on this website starting today. The first time I am seeing such an error. The website’s security certificate is not yet valid or has expired. Error Code: DLG_FLAGS_SEC_CERT_DATE_INVALID Has anyone encountered this? It keeps logging me out repeatedly. It seems that the website security certificate expired today. Please confirm. Thanks.

I have a relative coming in from another state to stay with me. I am at risk and have been isolated. How do I introduce him into the home, 2 week quarantine? In Garage? Cannot find a camper. Ideas?? I have no real way to have him come into the house and quarantine from me. There are no options. Live in northern new England. I have a two car garage attached to the house, but it is cold and drafty. I thought of borrowing a big tent and putting it in the garage to give it some space, and room....

I'm 68 y/o, not in bad shape, but not excellent, have historical issues. I live in CA (central valley). Bottom line: I'm not convinced I'll contract COVID, but I do believe I won't survive it if I do. This has me getting my life in order, in my case, a herculean effort to get it done before possible contraction. Need to brush up my will, personal finances, administration..........then there are physical assets, misc. deals I'm working on. It's a huge job and I must get it done quickly. Lastly, I'm going to show my daughter how to give FR updates...

I got a nice dose of reality with Free Republic off the air this morning. By 8 am I searched, "Is Free Republic Down" and it took me to a site that confirmed, that it was down for everyone. By 9 am, insidiously, I noticed a frontal headache and a little anxiety. By 10 I was having trouble concentrating and getting a bit restless and short with co-workers, By 11 there was some paranoia with thoughts like "What if Free Republic never comes back up?" and "I think I'm hooked on this site", and "What if I can't recover from...

My 12th Freeper birthday just passed and I missed it (again). Anywho, I hadn't looked at my post count in a long time, and I'm surprised at my posting frequency. It works out to about 14.5 posts per day. Wow.

This place is getting more like facebook and twitter, stealthly deleting posts for not stated reasons. Sometimes whole topics. You don't know they're gone until you browse your comments and find they don't exist anymore. Way to go censors. 20+ year guy here and i will say this is a new level of low. Read it while you can, i am sure whoever's deleting comments tonight will not want to have this out there.

I am a baby boomer (born 1950). I have the impression that most Freepers are baby boomers or older. Am I right? What generation are you in? When were you born?

Some of this is starting to creep into our forum again, hence the reminder. Debate the issues all you want, but please don't make it personal. Keep it clean, above board and above belt. Also, whether pro or con, keep the q stuff off our regular forum threads. Post it on the q thread in chat/conspiracy. But again, keep it clean, don't make it personal, no name calling, no attacks, no threats, no violence. Don't be a TROLL. Stay on topic, don't flame, don't engage in flamewars, feuds, cross-thread arguments, stalking or harassment. If you don't like the subject or...
