A large majority of American voters believe the United States is the best country in the world. Overall, 84 percent of voters think the United States is the greatest country in the world, including 89 percent of Republicans, 84 percent of Democrats and 73 percent of independents. These poll results are based on interviewing conducted April 25 to April 27, before the president announced the death of Usama bin Laden in Pakistan.
