I waited in line alongside a woman with a cane wearing a cross necklace and a group of teenage boys in board shorts. A blind man was led along by two other gentlemen past a well-dressed lady in petite black heels and her suit-wearing date. A toddler held her daddy's hands as we entered into the arena and were met with the overwhelming smell of funnel cake. The Dickies Arena in Fort Worth can hold up to 14,000 people. As I took my seat, bright screens in every direction advertised the upcoming entertainment: Disney On Ice, Dierks Bentley, Justin Timberlake....

I was a little dejected when I heard it was being canceled.” “The Laramie Project” is a play that recounts the aftermath of the murder of Matthew Shepard, a gay University of Wyoming student who was beaten and tied to...

In the face of declining enrollment and projected budget shortfalls, the Fort Worth Independent School District plans to cut staff. Superintendent Angelica Ramsey posted the announcement online Monday. Good news for Elon Musk. A judge appointed by former President Donald Trump will oversee the high-profile lawsuit filed by Musk against the far-left organization Media Matters. As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Elon Musk’s X Corp., formerly known as Twitter, has filed a defamation lawsuit against Media Matters on Monday, accusing the “radical anti-free speech organization” of publishing a report that falsely claimed that X was allowing ads to run next to pro-Nazi content. The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas Fort Worth Division, alleges that Media Matters’ report was “malicious” and...

A Texas church was recently awarded a "Millstone of the Month Award" by a nonprofit for founding a grant program by which minors can be transported out-of-state to obtain opposite-sex hormones or body-mutilating trans surgeries. U.S. Parents Involved in Education (USPIE) gave their Millstone of the Month Award in October to the leadership and congregation of Galileo Church in Fort Worth for exhibiting what they described as "blatant disregard of biblical principles and the welfare of confused children," according to a press release from the nonprofit earlier this week. USPIE describes their Millstone of the Month Award as "a monthly...

A man was forcibly removed from a Texas school board meeting Tuesday while attempting to speak out against an LGBTQ book banned from school libraries. Mike Cee was seen on video, while holding a microphone used for public comment, quoting the book Flamer by Mike Curato, which is a novel about a teenager discovering his sexuality. The book had already been removed from the district's elementary and middle school libraries during the summer. He, at one point, reads off the line of one character asking: 'Who wants my hot wiener?' Cee was met with one board member slamming her gavel...

The case of a Fort Worth patient’s quest to treat his COVID-19 with ivermectin, and a Houston doctor’s determination to prescribe him the drug, is headed to a rare hearing where a state agency will argue that the doctor broke the law. The Texas Medical Board filed a formal complaint against Dr. Mary Talley Bowden in April, accusing her of unprofessional conduct when she allegedly prescribed ivermectin to a man at Texas Health Huguley Hospital where she did not have privileges. She also did not properly review the patient’s medical history or the patient himself, according to the complaint. The...

Stanley Black & Decker acquired the Craftsman brand in 2017 to revitalize it and bring manufacturing back to the United States. The Fort Worth factory, announced in 2019, was meant to take this vision further by forging iconic Craftsman wrenches, ratchets, and sockets from American steel. The company believed that advanced automation would allow the plant to compete cost-effectively with imported products while meeting consumer demand for U.S.-made tools. Former employees revealed that the factory’s automated system experienced critical problems that couldn’t be resolved before the company closed the facility. The pandemic also disrupted the production timeline, preventing proper testing...

Following her decision to use ivermectin to combat COVID-19 and issuing a declaration that she would only treat the unvaccinated, Dr. Mary Talley Bowden’s medical license is being threatened by the Texas Medical Board on behalf of complaints from two separate hospitals. Having treated more than 5,000 patients with COVID-19, neither of the complaints accuse Bowden of harming a single patient. “People close to me have encouraged me to give up for my own well-being, but I’ve witnessed too much and could not live with myself if I didn’t keep going,” said Bowden. “I did nothing wrong and will fight...

Rep. Mondaire Jones criticized GOP-appointed judges' abilities to issue nationwide injunctions. He referred to a Trump-appointed judge blocking student-debt relief for millions of Americans. His new bill would channel that authority to D.C. courts and the Supreme Court only. A Democratic lawmaker doesn't think conservative judges should have the power to halt Democratic policies for millions of Americans. Last week, New York Rep. Mondaire Jones penned an opinion piece criticizing Republican-appointed judges' "unrestrained use of nationwide injunctions" to block Democratic policies. For example, federal Texas Judge Mark Pittman — appointed by former President Donald Trump — ruled President Joe Biden's...

McDonald's has opened up a fully-automated restaurant in Texas, which is completely run by machines so you don't have to speak to anyone, and it has left people on the internet divided. A TikToker who goes by the username @foodiemunster online recently visited the restaurant and documented the entire thing on the video-sharing app, and it...
