Mike Cee removed by police from Texas school board meeting as he read from LGBTQ book 'Flamer'

A man was forcibly removed from a Texas school board meeting Tuesday while attempting to speak out against an LGBTQ book banned from school libraries.

Mike Cee was seen on video, while holding a microphone used for public comment, quoting the book Flamer by Mike Curato, which is a novel about a teenager discovering his sexuality.

The book had already been removed from the district's elementary and middle school libraries during the summer.

He, at one point, reads off the line of one character asking: 'Who wants my hot wiener?'

Cee was met with one board member slamming her gavel and asking security to remove him, as the man continued to read from the book.

Three security officers surrounded him as the rest of the audience began shouting, with the board member demanding quiet and slamming the gavel again.

The board eventually went into a temporary recess, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

It's not clear what side of the debate Cee was on, as he went into a spiel on Satan, God and free will before being removed from the meeting.

'Satan rules the world. Satan speaks through some of you, could be some of these board members, could be some of the audience. God has given us free will to do the right thing,' Cee said.

In another video, it appeared Cee believed the book was still being shown in schools in Fort Worth despite the ban, Fox News said.

The rest of the meeting featured speakers on both sides of the book-banning debate.

Kenya Alu, executive director of the local branch of Citizens Defending Freedom, said they're not in favor of banning books but protecting children.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

Looks like they object more to the world knowing how they are sexually abusing the children than they are about teh children being sexualized.

We have seen this time and time again in school board meetings. They stop the parent from reading books that the left insists is suitable for elementary school children. The left wants porn in schools. Children and porn do not belong together. If they insist on the porn, parents should remove their children. It can be hard to arrange alternative arrangements, but it can be done.

If it has already been “banned” and removed from the schools what the hell was his point?

I’m reading between the lines, but it doesn’t say if it’s banned from the high school.

Reminder: I have a full US History and World History homeschool curriculum for grades 9-12 with teacher’s guides, student workbooks, tests/answer keys, maps/charts/graphs, and me teaching every chapter/unit in video.

We use my NYTimes #1 bestseller, “A Patriot’s History of the United States” as the textbook, supplemented by the documents book, “A Patriot’s History Reader.”

Maybe he didn’t know it was removed. Maybe he did. Does that mean he no longer has the right to free speech? Maybe he was reminding people that these the school board, administrators, teachers and librarian allowed the book to begin with. I bet all of them are still employed and still indoctrinating children every day when they belong in jail. Most of these people should never be near children again. The scumbag cops that forcibly stopped this man from speaking need to lose their jobs, their pensions and banned from working in any position in government again.

A) That the book had been there in the first place.

B) And what else is there that needs to be removed.
