In the wake of rising property taxes, food inflation, and outrageous rents, Montana’s 4th largest county, Flathead County, could be facing a lawsuit in excess of $200 Million dollars because of an error by the Flathead County Clerk & Recorders Office, headed by Debbie Pierson. ... The property in question is a 500+ acre tract of land in Somers, MT and was once wholly owned by Thorco, Inc., who has been trying to re-acquire the property for over 10 years. After several protracted court battles, settlement hearings, and even a hearing in front of the Montana Banking Oversight Committee, Thorco...

Although Montana’s leftwingers claim that anti-police protests around the Big Sky State are peaceful and that citizens being on guard for potential lawlessness amounts to “intimidation,” it appears that there is indeed an ugly side to the activists. They just pulled down a monument to the Ten Commandments, chained it to a pickup, and drove off with it being dragged down the street. Flathead 411 posted a video (credit: Dusty Jones) of workers placing the monument, abandoned in the middle of the street across the yellow line, into a skid steer bucket to be transported out of the way of...

Full Title: ‘He Enjoyed Booze, Guns, Cars, and Younger Women Until the Day He Died’: Unrepentant Obituary Deemed ‘Best Ever’ ------------------------------------------------------- Michael “Flathead” Blanchard’s obituary, published in the Denver Post on April 12, bears little resemblance to the standard “in memoriam.” Penned by Blanchard before his death, the obituary notes, among other things, that Blanchard was “weary of reading obituaries noting someone’s courageous battle with death.” Rather, he wanted it known that he “died as a result of being stubborn, refusing to follow doctor’s orders and raising hell for more than six decades.” “He enjoyed booze, guns, cars, and younger...

LAMBERTVILLE, N.J. - An alien species of catfish has been caught in the Delaware Raritan Canal, prompting fears among environmental officials that the voracious predator could devastate native catfish, sunfish and some sturgeon populations the way it has in southeastern states. "The threat of the flathead is significant," Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner Bradley M. Campbell said in a statement Wednesday. "Anglers should report any catches or sightings of this fish to the Department." In the southeast, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has listed the flathead as its highest priority among invasive animal species, the DEP reported. Flatheads, which...
