Zion National Park officials have provided additional details regarding the flash flood that left one person missing Friday. Multiple hikers were reportedly swept off their feet by a flash flood in the Narrows near the Temple of Sinawava. Search teams have recovered the body of a missing hiker who was killed by a flash flood in Utah's Zion national park in Utah. The group, identified late Thursday, were washed away soon after they secured a permit to explore the canyon. The men and women were washed away on Monday afternoon. There is a severe weather outbreak in the south and southeast today and tonight; a new tornado watch has been issued extending from the Nashville area down to south of New Orleans. This area is expected to move east as the day progresses, with Birmingham, Mobile, Atlanta, Chattanooga, Knoxville and possibly Charlotte under the gun before midnight. This same system brought severe weather and tornadoes to Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma yesterday. Several tornadoes ravaged the Houston area, where cleanup continues this morning.
