Pouring? Rats. We are out in the high desert of IE, and it has been off and on all day in huge down pours. We may even get snow.
Stay safe and dry.

I’m in West LA, where in the High Desert are you? You guys might get snow..LUCKY, I’ve never seen snow. If I had a car I’d get my butt to Big Bear to see it

Yes, stay safe and keep warm. The storms here in Ventura are powerful. The burned areas near Mt. Blaldy have left the towns vulnerable: Sierra Madre, Altadena, and Monrovia.

Yeah, I'd really miss the snow if we didn't have it...I'd miss it like I'd miss a migraine headache...

You say that because your used to it. I guess I would feel the same way if I had to live with it day after day, but seeing it once in a while would be fun

I looked at the radar on weather underground and the heavier rain seems to be centered inland. Yikes. Likely where the fires burned, right?

Well...the Station fire was North of downtown LA mostly I think.

It threatened the Mount Wilson Observatory and the TV Towers etc, at one point.

Covered a big area,...

Well, then that area truly might be in for some flash flooding. Yikes.

You don't have to go all the way to Big Bear to see snow in LA.

Head up to the top of the neighborhood in La Crescenta, right off the 210 Fwy and the Lowell Ave. exit. You'll see plenty of snow.

We are in Anza Valley. Our house is at 4000 ft usually just at the snow line.
Idyelwild always gets now and probably close than Big Bear.
I am born and raise in southern California but have family in Colorado - snow is really pretty when you are inside by a warm fire drinking fine port seeing if gently fall - driving and walking are a pain in the behind!

I am over in Poppet Flats, in the Esperanza burn area. It has been raining moderately all day but the hills are grown back enough, it looks like they will hold. BTW you are correct about Italians.
