Covid-19 cases and hospitalizations are in decline. People are traveling, socializing and returning to workplaces in greater numbers. But a group of people are still keeping mostly to themselves and taking other measures to minimize infection risks. Compromised immune systems and the risks of long Covid are among reasons they say they are maintaining caution.

The Florida Department of Health on Sunday reported 15,299 new Wuhan coronavirus cases. This is the largest number of cases reported in a single day. The record was previously held by New York when they reported 12,274 new cases, TIME reported. The reason Florida saw an uptick in positive cases is because they also had a record-breaking number of tests that were conducted. The state currently has 269,811 positive infections. New Jersey is extending its public health emergency over the coronavirus pandemic for another 30 days, Gov. Phil Murphy announced Wednesday. Murphy signed an executive order that will keep the declaration in place through at least June 6.

Looking at Sweden’s Coronavirus worldometer (every country has one) There doesn’t seem to be any appreciable difference between the infection curve there and the infection curve of other countries. Same goes for the death curve. Yet Sweden chose not to destroy its economy with a massive lockdown.
