What's the difference between "Articles" ("Latest Articles") and "Activity" ("Active Articles") in the News/Actvism Forum?
-
Where is the search function? Where can I go see what I've posted in the past? Where can I go to see what was posted to me in the past? What happened while I was napping?
-
There is this useless little box in the upper right hand corner that says POSTS:* and has an icon next to it that says go. I just saw that Arthur C Clarke died and wanted to verify any other threads. But I can't find a way to type in text to search. I agree the old search wasn't all that hot... but at least it was somewhat understandable.

With the way the forum page has changed, I can no longer find the search option. Anyone able to help me.

I know FreeRepublic is not for profit. I understand that any changes that are done to it are "unencumbered" by any feasible plan. But you are driving me nuts, John! Think things through from my perspective. I don't have time to play around figuring out all the subtle differences between on Alpha release and the Next. Do the right thing. Beta. Test. Don't break what isn't broken. Never, ever, do anything that breaks a bookmark. I understand that playgrounds are fun, but I, for one, don't have time to coddle you whilst you are playing!

Added the ability to make a sidebar on the left of the page, as well as place boxes at the top and bottom of the page. You'll also be able to add your bookmarks using the Manage Blocks page.

Who keeps adjusting FR's controls....it took me all afternoon to get used to the fonts...and now FR has changed the font setting again.Change is OK....but enough already....unless it was Jim Rob's idea....then great job boss....:-)

I had a search engine that went missing on the forum page. How do I get it back? It searches by poster, keyword, etc. (I would search for this search engine but have no engine to search with) Also, I don't have any of the subject links that use to be on top of the page, and the one link that allows me how to add what headings to the side bar is half way off the page. Aside, from that this is a great place and I would appreciate the help!

I do like the new interface to FR. But I have to ask, why is the keyword 'Obama' red and all the rest are grey or grey bold. I'm sure this is just a coincidence.
-
So, does everyone like the new format of FR? Looks great!
-
What do you think? Suggestions, comments, complaints?
-
It seems like the Easter FR egg hunt has started early but as I find them I hope that "Views" on the Thread page and "By Sender" on the Mail page will be among them!:)

Downloaded updates in my computer and restarted this morning, now on FR, I only get titles, there's nothing to read about the topic until I click & open it up. HELP, what happened!
-
What's up with the main forum pages??? The abibility to post a new thread directly form the Forum page is missing. We used to be at the top right and now it's gone. To post a new article we have to go to an existing article to find the Post Article link.
-
Since about 6:00 pm PST I have been unable to connect to forums. Get taken to latest posts instead. Help!
-
Why all of a sudden am I loading the Latest articles page? It used to be clicking on messages in the upper right corner solved the problem. Now, I finally found "Comments" down the right side a bit, but every time ya hit browse now coming out of a thread, I return to latest articles page! WWWWWHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTZZZZZZZZZ - UUUUP!!??!!!

Hey, all, I know this is stupid, but I surf on my phone all the time when I'm in Court, or elsewhere, and occassionally I have trouble with FreeRepublic. I was wondering if there is a mobile-friendly address? I may just have to break down and buy an iphone, as they have no trouble loading FreeRepublic.

~EXCERPT~ After Super Tuesday, the Democrats' superdelegates look like they could play a crucial role in determining whether Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama notch the party's nomination. So exactly who -- and what -- are superdelegates? Here's a FAQ-style explainer:What are superdelegates? Most delegates for the Democratic convention -- 3,253 or roughly 80% -- will be assigned through state primaries or caucuses. For instance, during Super Tuesday's voting blitz, 1,678 of these delegates were up for grabs. Because of party rules, these delegates cast their votes at the convention according to the decision of the voters back home. That's why...
