I seem to be the only one on FR that has absolutely no idea how to post photos and jpegs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've tried searching, but haven't been able to find out how to make a tag line for my profile. I would really appreciate any help on the matter. Thanks very much!

I do much more surfing that posting and notice an unhealthy obsession with "kitty cats" on the FreeRepublic, why is this. I admit the last pic I saw of the cat in the glass was aweful cute but what gives?

I have looked at the HTML Boot Camp and have learned a lot there, but I have been unable to learn how to post a picture that is resident on my computer that I did not get off of the web. I know how to post a picture taken from the web using the form: img_src="http://www.hotpix.com/images/xyz.gif" (enclosed by < >) I do not know how to post a picture that I have stored on my hard drive. For instance, say I take a picture of Teddy Kennedy in a drunken stupor slobbering all over Hillary Clinton with my digital camera....

Where can I find a link of news sources that you are prohibited from reposting articles on FreeRepublic? I did a search and couldn't find anything.

Lately there seems to be some slippage of what has been for years the common style for replying to posts. For those of you who don’t know, Jim and the mods treat old timers a little different than newbies. They get a little more slack, a few more mulligans than those who signed up in last four years or so. I always wondered if that was a good policy. I've been reading FR for years now and during that time I've always found that the format for FR is rather confusing and convoluted. While I keep coming back I repeatedly find myself asking 'why this format?' I know that this was custom written by Jim Robinson and that's pretty cool. But having participated in a multitude of online communities I've seen many formats that work and many that don't. Is there any policy about people who have no posts but send Freep mail touting another web site?

I just got an e-mail from a long-time member of Free Republic, gently chiding me for using the term "Free Republican" rather than the term 'FREEper.' No particular argument with anybody, but I am wondering why the slang term is acceptable, and the formal term is not. Of course, there are Free Republicans who are not members of the Republican Party (for the record, I am one of the most fervent members of the Republican Party one can hope to meet), but one generally assumes most on Free Republic make the distinction--that a Republican (a member of that political party)...

Is it just me, or do some folks in here drop a thread cold when certain people post to it?

How does a registered forum member go about closing out/canceling their registration? Although I wasn't here much I am spending to much time online and I no longer wish to post anywhere on the net so I need to know how to do this?
