PLACER COUNTY, Calif. — The California agency that oversees negotiations between employers and employees struck down a controversial Rocklin Unified School District transgender notification policy. In September 2023, the school district approved a policy that required school staff to notify parents if their child requests to be identified as a different gender, use different pronouns or if they request to use a bathroom that does not match their gender assigned at birth.
