In today’s election in PA, for a state Senate seat in the Lancaster area which the GOP should easily have held in an R+9 district, the Republicans appear to have blown it. It’s been nearly HALF A CENTURY (if not more) since the Republicans lost that district. Special elections at the state legislative level are not necessarily bellwethers — they sure weren’t in 2023-24 — but this is not a good sign at all.
