Fleetwood Mac singer Stevie Nicks claims her band would have ended in the 1970s if she hadn’t ended the life of her unborn child. Nicks told CBS News Sunday Morning that she had an abortion in 1979, conveying that she believed she wouldn’t have been able to handle both being a mother and singing in Fleetwood Mac — so she chose the band. The Fleetwood Mac singer also suggested that she thought it would be better for the unborn child to die rather than to have him or her “have their feelings hurt” over her music endeavors.

Russia will no longer cooperate with Western nations on the International Space Station (ISS) until sanctions due to its invasion of Ukraine are removed, the head of its space agency announced. Roscosmos chief Dmitry Rogozin declared the move on Twitter, saying that Russia will end its partnership with NASA and the European Space Agency on the space station, which launched in 1998. The announcement came after weeks of speculation and threats on Russia's part to pull out of the cooperative space venture. At the beginning of March, retired NASA astronaut Terry Virts said that Russian President Vladimir Putin is in...

Yeah, funny how all talk about the stimulus to help people just suddenly ended. The media is not talking about it either. NO ONE at the top cares about any of us. We are so stupid for worrying about who is in office anywhere and start doing something about all of this. Really.

In a startling exchange Wednesday during the IRS hearings before the House Oversight and Reform Committee, America learned that the IRS knew in May of 2012 that its employees were targeting conservative organization with paralyzing harassment and Kafka-esque audits. Although the IRS knew this, they did not report this information to Congress. "While a tremendous amount of attention is centered about the Inspector General's report, or investigation, the committee has learned from Ms. Paz that she in fact participated in an IRS internal investigation that concluded in May of 2012 - May 3 of 2012 - and found essentially the...

Hamas’ military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, called off a ceasefire with Israel late Friday, Hamas’ Al-Aqsa radio reported. According to the report, which was quoted by the Bethlehem-based Ma’an news agency, Hamas will allow terror factions in Gaza to respond to Israeli attacks in the Strip. Those ‘attacks’ come in response to provocations by the same terror groups in Gaza, such as Thursday’s multiple attacks near Eilat or the barrage of rockets which were fired at Israel from Gaza on Friday. A representative of the militant group was quoted as having said, “There can be no truce with the Israeli...

NEW YORK - The 1993 World Trade Center bombing left a giant crater in the basement of the 110-story twin towers and an even larger hole in the nation's sense of security. With the 15th anniversary approaching, the days before the bomb blast appear to mark the last time when millions of Americans went about their business, unaware of the dangers posed by international terrorism. "Not an awful lot of people thought about how vulnerable we were," recalled Joseph Guccione, the U.S. marshal for New York. "It was a terrible lesson that was learned." Lower Manhattan tried to armor itself...

Sixty years ago today on the deck of the battleship USS Missouri, the Japanese surrendered, ending World War II. It was a triumphant moment. It was a humbling moment. It was a moment of relief after years of fighting, death and destruction. As Gen. Douglas MacArthur and military officials from Great Britain, Australia and Russia took the unconditional surrender, everyone knew that the world changed in a day and because of the fight that had just occurred. The end of World War II created a new world. The war brought technologies that helped build a world we know today. It...

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 30 — Tens of thousands of pieces of mail come into the huge Immigration and Naturalization Service data processing center in Laguna Niguel, Calif., every day, and as at so many government agencies, it tends to pile up. One manager there had a system to get rid of the vexing backlog, federal officials say. This week the manager was charged with illegally shredding as many as 90,000 documents Among the destroyed papers, federal officials charged, were American and foreign passports, applications for asylum, birth certificates and other documents supporting applications for citizenship, visas and work permits. The...
