When Cruz was my constitutional law student at Harvard, he aced the course after making a big point of opposing my views in class — arguing stridently for sticking with the original meaning against the idea of a more elastic living Constitution whenever such ideas came up. I enjoyed jousting with him, but Ted never convinced me — nor did I convince him. At least he was consistent in those days. Now, he seems to be a fair weather originalist, abandoning that method’s narrow constraints when it suits his ambitionâ€â€¦ ~ Laurence H Tribe (Harvard)

Article II, Section 1, of the Constitution provides, in pertinent part: No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.**snip**This political season, the eligibilities of Marco Rubio, Bobby Jindal and Ted Cruz are the subject of debate. As much as we want certainty, the term “natural born...

Youtube user Bigone5555J found a photo of one of the Birth Certificates given to Obama's attorneys by the Hawaii Department of Health on April 25, 2011. You might recall that after Obama released his long form in a Pdf for the public to download on April 27, 2011, NBC's Savannah Guthrie boasted she was allowed to look at and feel the seal on Obama's Birth Certificate and reported that it said Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. She also took a picture of it and posted that photo on site called Lockerz.com. The photo she took can be seen here:...

Note: Title edited for length ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Those who argue that the United States has no obligation to recognize and respect dual nationality – as to American citizens – have been unequivocally proved wrong by official correspondence between former Secretary of State Robert Lansing (who served from 1905-1920) and former Senator Henry Cabot Lodge. The opinion of the State department was published in The American Journal of International Law, Volume 9. We shall begin with the factual background to this official inquiry: “MY DEAR SENATOR LODGE: I have received your letter of June 5, 1915, in reply to my letter of...

Youtube video-Govenor of Hawaii, Neil Abercrombie now claiming he was told that there is a hand written notation of Obama's birth some where in the State Archives-LOL this is evidence? "It was actually written, I am told, this is what our investigation is showing, it actually exists in the archives, written down," Abercrombie said. "If there is a political agenda (regarding Obama's birth certificate), then there is nothing I can do about that, nor can the president," he said. Does this not mean there is no Birth Certificate that Obama can produce? If there is no Birth Certificate in Hawaii,...

State Rep. Allan Ritter, D-Nederland, is telling associates he will switch to the Republican Party next week. Ritter was not immediately available for comment. That would give the GOP a 100-member supermajority in the Legislature's lower chamber — a number that allows them to pass constitutional amendments and other matters without seeking support from the Democrats.

A video which looks between the lines of the birth announcements and the official statements from Hawaii.

<p>Earlier today, I spoke exclusively to Sharron Angle, the Republican nominee to challenge Harry Reid for the Senate seat in Nevada. In the past few days, rumors have swirled that Angle is a crypto-Birther. I asked her "flat out" whether she believed Barack Obama was born somewhere other than Hawaii, and she replied, "No. Is that flat-out enough for you?"</p>

An Army flight surgeon apparently is sticking to his vow not to deploy until he is satisfied that President Barack Obama is a "natural born" citizen. Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin did not report for duty at Fort Campbell, Ky. as ordered today, and a spokesman for the post said it's not likely he will. Lakin's failure to report essentially dares the Army to bring charges against him for being an unauthorized absence. Margaret Hemenway, a spokeswoman for a group called the Patriotic American Foundation, which is supporting the 18-year officer, said the Army should not expect Lakin to report unless...

Folks, a couple different citizens have now filed to join Berg's federal lawsuit challenging Obama's presidential eligibility. Question: Would it be helpful for dozens/hundreds of citizens to file to join Berg's lawsuit? Can it be turned into a class action? Is it possible? My thinking is that such a move might generate and urgency, and MIGHT even force the MSM to cover it if enough citizens become involved. Thoughts? MM
