In a stark display of the nation’s divide, the lower and upper chamber of every legislature but one — Minnesota — will be controlled by the same party following Tuesday’s midterm elections. It will be the first time in 104 years that only one state will have a divided legislature. That emerging political dynamic has potentially serious policy implications. Without a divided government, these single-party state houses are in a position to enact legislation at a time when Washington faces a new round of gridlock after Democrats captured the House and Republicans expanded their control of the Senate. Sources in Broward County tell me Brenda Snipes plans on fighting all attempts by dispatched law enforcement to secure the ballots. In other words, she plans on holding the ballots hostage.

Democratic lawyers were "descending on" the state in a calculated attempt to "change the results" and "try and steal" several statewide races..."So, it has been over 48 hours since the polls closed and Broward and Palm Beach Counties are still finding and counting ballots – and the Supervisors – Brenda Snipes and Susan Bucher – cannot seem to say how many ballots still exist or where these ballots came from, or where they have been," Scott said...Earlier this year, a judge found that Snipes had illegally destroyed ballots in a 2016 congressional contest,...

One clear message seems to have emerged from the mid-term elections in the United States: the under-estimation of the political powers of Donald Trump by his opponents is going to have to stop. The idea that he is little more than a racist; the notion that his supporters are Neanderthals; or that his economic boom is a mirage that makes little difference to ordinary people – all of this is blown apart by results that underline across America the political appeal of this President. Like it or not, he is here to stay. And assuming he chooses to run in...

Well, the Florida fraud is driving me crazy. Tuned in to Diamond and Silk for some peace of mind chatter. They discuss the elections and many more topics including immigration and Jeff Sessions being fired.

Maine's new method of voting for Congressional candidates may well change the outcome of the race to represent the state's Second District. Right now, with 78 percent of the vote cast, incumbent Republican Rep. Bruce Poliquin has a tiny lead over Democrat Jared Golden, 46.2 percent to 45.7 percent. The problem for Poliquin, though, is that he doesn't have more than 50 percent of the vote, and with Maine's new ranked-choice voting system, that means he cannot yet be declared the winner. There are two other independent candidates in the race, Tiffany Bond and William Hoar, and between the two...

House Republican Conference Chairwoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers has decided not to run for re-election to her leadership position and will instead seek a ranking member subcommittee post on the Energy and Commerce Committee. McMorris Rodgers had wanted to move up in leadership and was eying the whip position had Republicans won the majority. But since Republicans lost and she did not want to challenge Steve Scalise, she decided to pursue a committee leadership slot rather than seek a fourth term as head of the Republican Conference, according to source familiar with her thinking.

I appeared on The Jesse Lee Peterson Show to discuss Tuesday’s elections. We dealt with two of the key reasons the Democrats took the House of Representatives—brainwashed millennials and the immigration invasion. It was a good conversation, and we even had a little fun too (I prefer laughter to tears!).

I don't know where we are tracking all of the recounts but I think at this point it's pretty clear that the Democrats are trying to muddy the waters with some key races. Arizona Senate, Florida Senate and Georgia Governors race. I wanted a catch all thread so we can keep track of what is going on. I've looked through Arizona and i've found that as of today all of Maricopa is reporting and McSally has opened her lead to 17K. Pima is still outstanding and this seems to be the only chance Sinema has to overtake her. Last estimates...

For almost 35 years, Tarrant County has been the most reliably red, urban county in Texas. Then, on Election Day, Democrat Beto O'Rourke beat Republican incumbent Ted Cruz in the county.

PHOENIX – For Democrat Kyrsten Sinema and Republican Martha McSally, Tuesday night was supposed to mark the end of a hard-fought battle that tested vastly different visions for the nation. But as Election Day came to an end, the race for Arizona's open U.S. Senate seat ended exactly how it has played out over the past few weeks: too close to call with unofficial statewide results Wednesday morning at 49 percent for McSally, 48 percent for Sinema and 2 percent for Angela Green, the Green Party candidate. An official victor may not be known for days – and maybe longer...

The liberals and mainstream media wanted everybody to believe that in 2018 there would be a Democratic tsunami wave. There wasn’t. In the 1994 midterm elections Democratic president Bill Clinton lost 54 House seats, 8 Senate seats and 10 governorships. That was a tsunami. In the 2010 midterm elections Democratic president Barack Obama lost 63 House seats, 6 Senate seats and 29 governorships. That was an even bigger tsunami. In the 2018 midterm elections Republican President Donald Trump lost a just over a couple dozen House seats (confirming the historical precedents), expanded robustly his Senate seats, while the number of...

I have been on my County's Vote Canvass Committee for a decade now, and been involved in counting absentee and military ballots for several elections. Having a bit of experience now and some intimate familiarity with Georgia election laws and procedures, there are no legitimate votes not already counted. There are only two reasons for having extended polling hours (past 7:00pm EST) or uncounted ballots in this state past 11:59pm EST, and those two reasons are incompetence and fraud. Machine failures are nearly inexcusable, as they are only used at most a few weeks out of a year, and if...

President Trump suggested early Wednesday that Republican candidates who did not embrace him in the midterm elections lost as a result, calling the final outcome a "very Big Win" despite the GOP losing control of the House and several governorships. "Those that worked with me in this incredible Midterm Election, embracing certain policies and principles, did very well. Those that did not, say goodbye!" Trump tweeted. "Yesterday was such a very Big Win, and all under the pressure of a Nasty and Hostile Media!" he added.

A 'Blue Wave' it wasn’t; a blue ripple, at most. Despite spending over one billion dollars, more money than ever before for a midterm election, and even though they were confident of crushing a historically unpopular president, Democrats appear to have mustered only a slim majority in the House, while not even coming close to taking over the Senate. Their win in the House seems at best to have been in line with historical averages; they had expected more. Admittedly, Democrats had a tough map to defend, including 10 Senate seats in states won decisively by President Trump in 2016....

President Trump called House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi late Tuesday to congratulate her on the Democratic takeover of the House of Representatives. “He acknowledged the Leader’s call for bipartisanship in her victory remarks,” Drew Hammill, her deputy chief of staff, wrote on Twitter. In her victory speech, the veteran California lawmaker talked up a “bipartisan” Congress where Democrats had a “responsibility to find our common ground when we can, stand our ground where we can.” “We’ll have a bipartisan marketplace of ideas that makes our democracy strong,” she said.
