Freepers did an OUTSTANDING job in Q1 when Free Republic had to collect almost $20,000 in TEN DAYS to make the budget! Many donated even though it 'hurt' and some FReepers even donated TWICE to get us across the finish line - we couldn't have made it without that kind of loyalty and generosity. Amazing. I thank God for blessing us with FR, Jim and Chris, and the FReepers who get the job done.Looking at Q2, I see FReepers have already donateted $55,682 (THANKS TO EAGER FREEPERS!). The sooner FReepers pile on the remaining donations, the more likely we will reduce the nail biting 'excitement' of trying to get 'er done. :DThe Biden economy has made it harder on FReepers and yet FReepers persevere in working to Make America Great Again. If you plan to donate this month and just haven't taken the step yet, could you put in your donation today to see if we can get this thing over with? :D The suspense! It burns! :DSome plan to donate later in Q2 and that is wonderful; my suggestion is only for those who are able to donate now. For many donors, the money comes in, whenever it can come in, and that has kept FR alive for many, many years. For those who pray, please pray that we make our donation budget this quarter.
or by
or by mail to: Free Republic, LLC - PO Box 9771 - Fresno, CA 93794
May God continue to bless Free Republic and those who call FR home.
THANK YOU, FREEPERS!
I wonder if money comes in fast, IF it was mentioned that in order to save on overhead, the site would shut down for 2 or 3 days per week.
sadly, I wonder how many of the readers are in their own financial binds, given this wonderful Biden Economy. This site is awesome and would hate to see it go away, however, perhaps if shutting down 1 or 2 times a week is necessary, somehow, we’d all find a way to survive. It stinks, but these are the realities of Biden’s residency!
If every Freeper who already gave would give $25.00 more, it would go a long way in reaching the 3rd quarter goal.
I forgot to mail a check so I just used the credit card donation a few minutes ago.
I have for over 20 years been posting that FR should charge a small fee, $10/quarter to visit this site.
If three bucks a month is too much for FReepers, how can they afford the internet?
I am sick and tired of the same old stick and carrot when the amount of free riders is overwhelming {or the number of FR members is over rated}.
If the number of FR visitors is so small that it's me, Laz and six guys and gals named jim or sally, maybe it's time to move on.
I have never posted a single article, but have responded to thousands and donated thousands and love this site, BUT, it's too tiresome.
We used to have cartoons with free loaders being dragged to spending a few bucks, and I could do it again, but I'm too burnt out.
If you are reading this rant and have not invested any money this quarter, screw you...send in a lousy dollar and if you cannot afford that, send me a private message, and I will send money in for you {in private, I promise I will not embarrass your financial status}.
This is the last time I will post about the Free Loaders on FR.
This maybe my last post on FR, it has become too weary trying to get a few bucks out of my friends.
There is a need to balance the addition of content and the maintenance of readership with the need to have sufficient revenue.
Perhaps reading should be no charge to the reader.
Perhaps no charge to make one’s first post within a 24-hour period.
Perhaps $70/year (The American Thinker rate) for greater posting ability.
Smartnews is working fairly well nowadays on my phone. The variety of articles is far greater than Free Republic.
Keeping my cell phone connected to the charger seems to keep the hotspot far more reliable.
Who knows what the tech companies will do to censor us in the future. The Robinsons need to prepare.
There’s Medi-cal and PPACA subsidies if things get tighter in Fresno.
I assume many bills are due on the first of each month. My last contribution was by debit card.

It seems to be quite old(2008?), but further research could be done.
Just threw some more in the kitty for the quarter so I could echo your disapproval of freepers who don’t contribute anything whatsoever. Darn shame.
If every Freeper who already gave would give $25.00 more, it would go a long way in reaching the 3rd quarter goal.
I like your idea, stars.
Just imagine if even half of those haven’t given, DID .... how far that would go.
They might help directly and/or provide a list of other conservative grant making organizations.
Note: Don’t expect a check within 14 days from a foundation.
Trump needs a great Republican Congress.
Right now, the Democrats have a massive Congressional funding advantage.
This site needs more financial love too.
Aim small to win big.
You have until late October to fund Trump’s campaign.

Re: outsourcing funding
Your heart is in the right place, but I think we all like the principle of paddling our own boat, which would be easy if everyone who was able - did so.

i agree the posters should have to pay up.
Especially the bloggers, videos of your cats, frogs, your trip to wherever, the people that stay up until 3 AM combing the internet for the same damn article.
I ‘ve posted an article either ! Just like to read the news.
so he does not have to pay taxes?
Does who not have to pay what taxes?
if JR charges I assume he’d have to pay taxes on that.
Could be wrong about that.
I was talking about independence of the site, not tax implications.
