Midterm Elections Prove Trump's Critics Underestimate Him as Blue Wave Becomes a Ripple
Fox ^ | November 7, 2018 | Liz Peek

A 'Blue Wave' it wasn’t; a blue ripple, at most. Despite spending over one billion dollars, more money than ever before for a midterm election, and even though they were confident of crushing a historically unpopular president, Democrats appear to have mustered only a slim majority in the House, while not even coming close to taking over the Senate. Their win in the House seems at best to have been in line with historical averages; they had expected more.

Admittedly, Democrats had a tough map to defend, including 10 Senate seats in states won decisively by President Trump in 2016. Nonetheless, from Texas to Indiana to Florida to Missouri to Tennessee, they spent big in hopes the Resistance would blast through the Red Wall of the Senate, only to find that President Trump’s supporters stood by their man.

What is disconcerting to me is that so many races were won by razor thin margins.

Their “Blue Wave” became a blue “bed-wetting.”

This is actually a huge win for Trump and conservatives.

After two years of unadulterated, undiluted hatred, violence, vicious attacks from masked brats, the MSM, and celebrities, and after outspending Reps by millions, all they managed to pull off was a majority in the House by a few seats.

Trump is no lame duck. He will be able to pressure many Dims into supporting his agenda and will steamroll over Nanzi Peloser.

“What is disconcerting to me is that so many races were won by razor thin margins.’

IMO, that’s because there are too many uninformed citizens, due to the media, else there are a lot of stupid people in the Rat constituency. Take your pick.

When you have 90% of news coverage negative to Republicans, this happens.

News coverage and pop culture antiTrump 24/7

College “educated” people who really are stupid

Women voting with their labias not brains

Metro areas all brewpubs and soy latte libs

Minorities still firmly on the plantation

It’s bad news, with the Rats a 1 vote majority is as good as a 100 vote majority.

Razor thin margins always make me think Democrat fraud. Notice how the Connecticut governor’s race and the Montana US Senate race are still being decided. Are you kidding me? They slowed the vote count in both states, and we know what that means. The Dems are looking for ballots.

Not a ripple where I live (Dupage County, IL); it was a tsunami. Dupage County used to be a very conservative, very Republican county. However, in recent years Rats from Chicago and Cook County have been moving here in droves (Rats do this, you know: They destroy their own communities then move to unsullied communities and try to wreck them).

Last night was a bloodbath for our area, as gun-grabbing, tax-loving, liberal Rat women took over virtually ALL elected offices.

We are SOOOOOO screwed.

We are retired, but my wife has end-stage COPD, so for us moving is not really an option, though we may just say “screw it” and pull up roots and let the chips fall where they may. We were just talking about it, and Tennessee is looking pretty good.

" When you have 90% of news coverage negative to Republicans, this happens."

I believe there is a lot of truth to that.

The MSM did their "assigned task" for the socialist/authoritarian party: painted our President in a bad light 24/7. The majority of working America doesn't have the time or inclination to dig deeper, to look behind what they grew up with understanding to be something approaching honest news reporting. Honest reporting seldom happens anymore on network or cable news but the majority of America simply hasn't come to the realization yet of how profoundly slanted the news agencies really are.

Broadcasters and cable news has failed miserably as journalists and done it with the full knowledge of what they are tasked to do. What we have in America is a small group of highly sensitized socialist zealots driving the media and filtering the web for their own warped notion of what America should become.

Joe Lunch Bucket hasn't the time or inspiration to go beyond the 6 and 10 pm news. He's busy with his own life. He appreciates the bigger paycheck and the better job opportunities which the Trump administration has been busy delivering. It takes some hot button issues to get his blood pressure rising and we all need to see that he gets the news each and every time the socialist/authoritarian party tries to take away more of his freedom and deprive him of more of his hard earned. We need to encourage him to cut the cable and seek out the news in other ways via the web and talk radio. MSM is dead and their unholy marriage with the extreme left is only a symptom of those death throngs.

Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades. We lost. Doesn’t matter if it was a wave or a ripple. We lost.

Notice how many R to D flips had a Libertarian candidate to split the vote. The new D strategy is to fund a Libertarian candidate, taking votes from Rs. We would have held the House if there hadn’t been 3rd choice to split votes.

I don’t know. If projections hold true then the Democrats will have picked up about 36 seats. At the low end of the projected “wave” but still in it.
