President Donald Trump’s campaign team is rewriting his Thursday night promise to grant green cards to any foreign graduates of four-year universities and two-year community colleges.
President Trump believes “we ought to keep the most skilled graduates who can make significant contributions to America … who would never undercut American wages or workers,” said the statement from spokeswoman Katherine Leavitt.

There are things that Trump (and Bannon) shouldn’t be touching right now. It’s just going to be used against us.
Well, if “who would never undercut American wages or workers” is real, then no foreign student will be allowed to stay once they finish school. Trump should clear this up. Besides, those foreign students will not be voting for him or Republicans, they cannot legally vote. There is no upside beyond his promises to big business to sustain and increase H1B, which this would compliment.
Now we know the impact of all the tech company donations to Trump (his prior statement of keeping immigrant students here). Good to see that Trump heard from his base and backtracked it a bit.

Trump was wrong to effectively say we need to import people to take our jobs.

A policy like that would create another thousand or two worthless “diploma mills”, offering no useful education but soaking up $$$billions in federally assured loans. Which a later Democrat prexy would then “forgive”, of course.

Getting the degrees Americans don’t want to get? WTF?! NO MORE “immigrants”, “migrants”, or “newcomers”, PERIOD! And get rid of the 50 million+ that are already here.
Sometimes I wish I could talk to Trump about the impressions he is making with some of these things.
But I’m sure there are those in his inner circle that see them too...
