Washington, DC -- Planned Parenthood is running a new television commercial that makes the now-disproved charge that John McCain running mate Sarah Palin forced rape victims to pay for rape kits. The charge picked up mainstream media steam in previous weeks but has been rebutted as completely false.

McCain might as well just flat out call Obama corrupt. This is hardball offense and is a good contrast between McCain the reformer who will clean up Washington versus the slimiest most corrupt type of Washington politician.

What exactly is the change we're supposed to believe in this election year? That Barack Obama represents a new kind of politics? Or is change tied to hope, as in we hope he re-morphs from typical negative-ad-slinging pol back to magical new Obamassiah once he's safely elected president? Does Obama even know? In his ad "Plan for Change," Obama decries the "petty attacks and distractions" of the campaign. "Bitter partisan fights" won't solve our problems, he says. What will? "A new spirit of unity and shared responsibility." That ad is in English. In Spanish, he has a very different message,...

ADRIAN, Mich. - A television advertisement by the National Rifle Association featuring Scott Siefert of Ogden Township is scheduled to begin airing Wednesday in Michigan. In the ad Seifert outlines his support for the right to keep and bear arms, and criticizes Sen. Barack Obama, the Democratic presidential candidate, for his gun-control positions. In one part of the ad, Seifert states: “Because I believe in traditional American values, go to church, exercise my right to own a firearm, Barack Obama says I’m bitter. Well, I’m not bitter; I’m blessed.” The ad, “Way of Life,” already has aired in several other...

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Sen. Barack Obama's campaign has painted a grim picture in a new Web video aimed at getting record voter turnout - a John McCain victory. The YouTube video, posted but not released to reporters, features a mock MSNBC projection that Mr. McCain "wins" the Nov. 4 contest, 51 percent to 49 percent for Mr. Obama. "John McCain elected 44th president" and "Voter turnout lower than expected" are the mock captions with an MSNBC "Breaking News" headline under a smiling Mr. McCain. "It doesn't have to be that way," flashes across the screen before the clip sends voters...

He jabbed all night long, just in case you were wondering. By the way, did anyone else notice how many times Obama said that McCain was right? The McCain camp noticed….

Have I gone insane, or is KMOV in St. Louis, Missouri, actually reporting that "Senator Barack Obama's presidential campaign is asking Missouri law enforcement to target anyone who lies or runs a misleading television ad during the presidential campaign"? The report goes on to say that "prosecutors and sheriffs from across Missouri are joining something called the Barack Obama truth squad." A video of the news broadcast can be found here. Look, politicians are all about lies. It may be annoying (I find it entertaining), but that's for their opponents and good-government groups to counter -- not law enforcement. That's...

WASHINGTON - The cable network MSNBC on Friday stopped airing a commercial by two liberal groups that makes an issue of John McCain's past bouts with skin cancer and demands that he release his medical records to the public. "The ad had not been thoroughly vetted prior to air, and has since been removed from our commercial rotation," NBC spokeswoman Allison Gollust said in an e-mail. She did not elaborate. The ad displays black and white close-up images of McCain and the scars related to the removal of melanomas from his face. A spokesman for one of the groups, Democracy...
