Sean Hannity, Herman Cain and others, please stop using Jammie Dubree, "the most connected man in Washington". He is annoying. He is a moderate leaning socialist. I find him as irritating as poison ivy. Do any of you feel the same way?

James Dupree is a world-renowned artist and native son of Philadelphia, who is about to see his art studio turned into a grocery store, thanks to the rubber-stamp review that passes for judging when his city exercises the power of eminent domain. James' artistic accomplishments are truly awesome. He has five paintings in the permanent collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Others can be found in the National Museum of Art in Cardiff, Wales; the Schomberg Museum in New York; the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts; and the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. You can see the Philadelphia Museum...

“Remember Cardillo.” It’s a bitter watchword for two generations of the thin blue line in New York City. Forty years ago this Saturday, Police Officer Phillip Cardillo was shot in an apparent ambush at Louis Farrakhan’s Mosque #7 in Harlem; he died six days later. No one was ever convicted in the case. Roadblocks were thrown up at every turn in the investigation. Why? Was it politics? Race? Or did the FBI tank the Cardillo probe to shield high-level confidential informants?

A Florida inmate is suing the man he’s convicted of burglarizing, claiming the man and two others roughed him up during a citizen’s arrest. Michael Dupree is serving a 12-year sentence for burglary and cocaine possession stemming from a 2007 break-in of a van in St. Petersburg. Dupree allegedly stole a bicycle locked inside and was apprehended after the owner, Anthony McKoy, saw him with the bike down the street. Dupree said McKoy and two others pointed a gun at him, handcuffed him and placed a knee painfully in his back. He’s seeking $500,000 for disabilities and distress suffered during...

NEW YORK — "Kristen," the high-priced prostitute whom New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer is believed to have hired, has been identified by the New York Times as Ashley Alexandra Dupre, a 22-year-old aspiring musician and native of New Jersey. Dupre, who was born Ashley Youmans, now lives in the Flatiron district of Manhattan, the Times reports. She appeared in court Monday as a witness against the four people charged in the alleged prostitution ring known as the Emperors Club V.I.P. "I just don't want to be thought of as a monster," Dupre told The New York Times in a telephone...
