Nikki Haley doubles DeSantis' support. Donald Trump leads him by 57 points. Gov. Ron DeSantis arguably had his best performance in a national debate this week, with a widely viewed showdown with California’s Gavin Newsom the week before. But new polling suggests it might not matter. In the latest Emerson College poll, the Florida Governor has fallen to 7%, his worst showing in any national survey in the 2024 cycle. Adding insult to injury, DeSantis is actually at 6.7%, benefiting from rounding to even hit the modest 7% threshold. DeSantis trails Nikki Haley, who has double his support at 14%....

'I think there's got to be something different for people to see that heart of yours.' In Iowa Saturday, Ron DeSantis heard from a supporter who suggested his campaign wasn’t successfully showing his “heart,” laying the blame on “consultants” as he questioned whether the Florida Governor could win the Presidency. During an event in Muscadine, which was hosted by the Never Back Down super PAC, the 2024 presidential candidate was confronted with criticism of how the DeSantis message is delivered. “I don’t know what your consultants are telling you, and it’s good for me to be here today to see...

Former President Donald Trump claimed the straw poll at the Western Conservative Summit on Saturday barely 24-hours after his federal indictment was publicly unsealed. He surged past Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, his nearest challenger for the GOP 2024 presidential nomination, by 40.3 percent to 35.8 percent, the Washington Examiner reports.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis responded to Donald Trump's recent attack on former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, saying that it was "really, really bad." "Donald Trump, even his greatest supporters have acknowledged, had a tough time picking good people. He had a lot of terrible personnel decisions, people like Jerome Adams, his Surgeon General...so we know there was a tough record, but Kayleigh was one of the greatest selections. She did a fantastic job," DeSantis, who is also a 2024 Republican presidential candidate, said while appearing on the NH Journal podcast on Friday. DeSantis added: "She's a Harvard-trained lawyer,...

Breitbart, once called the platform of the “alt-right” by Steve Bannon, shredded former President Donald Trump on Friday for dining with far-right white nationalist and Neo-Nazi Nick Fuentes. News broke on Wednesday night that Trump dined with Fuentes and rapper Kanye West, both avowed anti-Semites, ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday – a dinner Trump has since both acknowledged and tried to distance himself from. Axios’s Jonathan Swan reported that during the dinner Trump and Fuentes “fawned” over each other. Swan wrote that at one point during the conversation Trump asked Fuentes, “‘You like it better when I just speak off...

President Trump will lose his current world-leader-status exemptions from Twitter’s policies after Joe Biden’s inauguration on Jan. 20, exposing him to stricter moderation. Twitter has confirmed that Trump’s personal account could face restrictions or even a ban if he continues proliferating what the platform considers “conspiracy theories” after becoming a private citizen, The Independent reported. (RELATED: Benjamin Netanyahu Removes Trump From His Twitter Profile Picture) Twitter applies unique policies to world leaders and various public officials of major importance, leaving rule-infringing content unremoved if the public has a “clear” interest in being able to access such content, according to The...

Senior Republicans recognised Joe Biden as the president-elect of the United States on Tuesday as President Donald Trump continued to deny the outcome of the election. In a significant break with the president, Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell congratulated Mr Biden and vice-president-elect Kamala Harris on their victory, a day after the electoral college confirmed the election result. “As of this morning our country has officially a president-elect and a vice-president-elect,” Mr McConnell said on the Senate floor. “Many of us hoped that the presidential election would yield a different result, but our system of government has processes to determine...

Speaker of the House Paul Ryan advised Republicans to run away from candidate Donald Trump before the election in order to save themselves and hold a future-President Hillary Clinton accountable, Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas revealed in an exclusive video interview with The Daily Caller New Foundation. “Are you crazy? We haven’t held anyone accountable. You haven’t even let us hold the IRS commissioner accountable [for using government power to harm President Obama’s political adversaries],” an astonished Gohmert said to the speaker on a call. Gohmert told TheDCNF he speaks so courageously because he wants the party to succeed...

Matt Drudge reported that Steve Bannon is out. Drudge tweeted from his personal Twitter account, “Bannon had one hell of a run..” Now the same reporters who had inside knowledge of many other White House staffers’ departures are reporting Mike Pence is one of the driving forces behind the coup to remove Trump from office. https://twitter.com/Cernovich/status/898599585244827648 Independent journalist, Mike Cernovich, who broke the Susan Rice unmasking story revealed Friday on Periscope that Mike Pence is working to remove Trump in a Deep State coup. Sources are also telling Cernovich and other independent journalists that the Republicans in Congress are counting...

Donald Trump is just six Senate votes from impeachment, according to an analyst at a prominent independent think-tank. Support for the President among Republican Senators has waned to the extent that Mr Trump is likely to only hang onto his seat by six votes, according to Elaine Kamarck of the Washington-based research group The Brookings Institution. Ms Kamarck, who is director of the Centre for Effective Public Management, said 12 Republican Senators had "no fear of the President" and had indicated they could vote against him in a vote.

President Donald Trump has stepped up his attacks on Republican senators, an approach he may regret if he is someday impeached and the Senate has to weigh charges against him stemming from an investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. election. More than half of the 11 Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee, which would be central to any proceeding to remove Trump from office, have tangled with the Republican president, including on Thursday when he fired off early-morning tweets. There is little serious talk being heard in Congress about removing Trump from office.

Veteran journalist Carl Bernstein says “important Republicans” are saying privately that President Trump is “unfit” for office and urged reporters to look into how widespread those worries may be. Bernstein took to Twitter on Tuesday to make the claims, but did not identify any specific individuals who have called Trump unfit. He said reporters should look into how “pervasive such talk may be.” (TWEETS-AT-LINK) The famous Watergate reporter’s tweets come as Trump is under fire for his response to the deadly violence in Charlottesville, Va., at a white supremacist rally over the weekend. Trump initially blamed the violence on “many...

Former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown suggested that the Republican foreign policy establishment may want to see President Donald Trump impeached after dining with two of its most prominent members. Last weekend, the legendary California Democrat wrote about a dinner invitation he received from former Secretary of State George Shultz and his wife Charlotte. In his San Francisco Chronicle column, Brown revealed that former Secretary of State and National Security Adviser Henry Kissinger attended the private dinner along with Michael Bloomberg, California Governor Jerry Brown (and his wife Anne), Tom Steyer, California gubernatorial candidate Gavin Newson (and his wife Jennifer), and San Francisco Mayor Ed...

Betrayed! 1,000 delegates to ditch Trump? Just when it appeared that the movement to dump Donald Trump as the GOP presidential candidate was defeated, it looks like it has come roaring back. And this time, it may have more momentum than ever. As many as 1,000 delegates to the Republican National Convention may have interest in a new push to ditch Trump and allow delegates to choose another candidate. The new movement is calling itself “Free the Delegates,” and it’s rallying like-minded Republicans to prepare for a fight. But critics argue that it is a petulant coup that would set...

Ted Cruz on Tuesday floated the possibility of restarting his presidential campaign if he wins Nebraska’s GOP primary Tuesday. Cruz, who ended his White House run last week, said he does not expect that to happen, but he’s leaving the door open. "We launched this campaign intending to win. The reason we suspended our campaign was that with the Indiana loss, I felt there was no path to victory," he said Tuesday on Glenn Beck's radio program. "If that changes, we will certainly respond accordingly."

I'm a staunch Trump supporter who lives in Indiana, I have a really bad feeling about Tomorrow. I was listening to an AM station out of Fort Wayne, they're firmly in the Ted Cruz camp. They were talking about how Ted and Pence we're criss crossing the state today, seriously, the schedule is insane, the wives are also criss crossing to a different set of towns. Sadly, a lot of folks in Indiana are none to bright and what I'd call followers, they basically fall for the MSM stuff easily.Clearly Pence is on board with the GOP establishment, why else...

When Donald Trump’s political credentials as a Republican and/or conservative are challenged, he likes to remind people that Ronald Reagan was a Democrat once and managed to evolve over time. Except that Reagan’s conversion was real and he had two terms as governor of California to prove his bona fides before he ran for president as a conservative Republican. As Reagan campaign manager Stu Spencer and speechwriter Ken Khachiagin note in a Real Clear Politics piece: Yes, Ronald Reagan migrated from being a liberal Democrat to the gold standard for conservative Republicans. But Reagan’s views evolved over four decades’ worth...
