The character of Dudley Do-Right was a well-intentioned but often incompetent Canadian Mountie whose character was inspired by old silent films and the stereotypical characters they portrayed.

    A Canadian Mountie gave a possibly orphaned baby moose a ride in a cruiser to an animal protection group that is caring for it, the group's manager says.
