New Jersey Assemblyman Joseph Vas today is expected to introduce a proposal to create a ``New Jersey Driving Privilege'' card. The document is essentially a driver's license for undocumented immigrants. The bill from the Perth Amboy Democrat is similar to laws in about a dozen other states. It has won praise from advocates who say many of New Jersey's approximately 300-thousand illegal immigrants are driving anyway -- making sure they pass a test is good for public safety.
