Outgoing Republican Lt. Gov. Abel Maldonado said today that he has contacted GOP members of California's congressional delegation and urged them to vote for a bill that would offer a path to legal status for undocumented youth. "Don't make this a political football. Get it done. California needs it," Maldonado, one of California's few high profile Republican Latinos said he told members.
