DELRAY BEACH, FL — A Delray Beach woman was rescued from a storm drain this week, nearly two years after police found her naked and stuck in another storm drain weeks after her boyfriend reported her missing. A Florida man who robbed a bank while armed with a machete was sentenced to federal prison. Herve Fils Viaud, 31, was sentenced today by United States District Judge William P. Dimitrouleas to 78 months in federal prison, to be followed by five years of supervised release for robbing TD Bank in Delray Beach, Florida. On February 1, 2022, Viaud walked into a TD Bank wielding a machete. Viaud threatened to hurt several bank employees with the machete unless he was given money. A 19-year old man displayed a weapon at a Delray Beach McDonald’s last week because the store’s ice cream machine wasn’t working, police said. Jerry Henry had an "AK-style rifle" as he entered the McDonald’s drive-thru Aug. 13, according to NBC affiliate WPTV. Henry, the vehicle’s passenger, “became upset” upon learning that ice cream was unavailable at the McDonald’s on Linton Boulevard close to I-95. He grabbed the gun, sending restaurant employees to seek cover in the bathroom. Henry was arrested and there were no reported injuries.

The unidentified woman, believed to be in her 40s, was found naked and trapped in a storm drain in Delray Beach. Someone passing by heard her cries for help and called 911, officials said.
