Former Republican vice-presidential nominee Sarah Palin, who is reportedly under consideration for a spot in President-elect Donald Trump’s administration, criticized Trump’s recent deal with Carrier to keep jobs in the United States. Trump visited the Carrier plant in Indianapolis on Thursday and touted the deal during a speech after the visit in front of a Carrier banner. Carrier will keep about 1,000 jobs in Indiana, instead of moving them to Mexico. In exchange, the state of Indiana is giving the company about $7 million in incentives. Vice president-elect Mike Pence in the current governor of Indiana. “When government steps in...

Ted Cruz hit back at Donald Trump today for his attack on Cruz, that he won't go along to get along to curry favor in Washington. Of course Cruz accepts this criticism and in turn says that if you want someone who will go along to get along and cut deals with the likes of Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and Chuck Schumer, then Donald Trump is your guy. Couldn't have said it better myself. It's clear Trump puts a high priority on his ability to cut deals with people and that's just not something I'm looking for in a candidate....

Read these two quotes carefully: The first: “Cruz cannot win because the Washington elites despise him.” The second goes: “[T]here are a lot of good candidates – I like nearly all of them… …except Cruz.” Which one of the similar quotes is from a pro-Cruz Super PAC and which is from a former Republican nominee for president?  The first quote is from an ad from Keep the Promise I, a Cruz Super PAC.  The second is from Bob Dole, the 1996 Republican nominee and war hero, who got trounced by Bill Clinton. Both purport to highlight a negative of Senator...

Breaking ranks with nearly all of his fellow 2016 Republican contenders, Donald Trump says he supports President Barack Obama's decision to reengage diplomatically with Cuba. "50 years is enough," Trump said in an interview with the Daily Caller published Tuesday, referring to Obama's decision to re-establish U.S. ties with Cuba. "I think it's fine. I think it's fine, but we should have made a better deal," Trump added. "The concept of opening with Cuba is fine." Trump joins libertarian-leaning Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky as the only Republican running for president to express his support for normalizing relations with Cuba....

Bill Clinton to address healthcare at House Democrats retreat By Jared Allen - 01/08/10 04:58 PM ET Former President Bill Clinton will address House Democrats at their annual retreat next week on healthcare, an issue closely identified with his presidency. Clinton is likely to give the keynote speech on healthcare on Friday, the retreat’s final day, and may take on a more prominent role in discussing the issue at the retreat than even President Barack Obama, according to House leadership aides involved in the planning. Clinton’s appearance, House aides said, is specifically designed to remind House Democrats of the perils...
