PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A Philadelphia TV station has found at least three instances in which votes were cast in recent elections under the names of people who were long dead. WPVI-TV (http://6abc.cm/2fcXVS7 ) dug through a decade's worth of Philadelphia's election and death records. Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has warned of fraud at Philadelphia polls. He's specifically raised concerns about votes made by dead people. Among the three individuals was a woman who died in 2006 but cast ballots in 2008, 2012, 2014 and the 2016 primary election. Republican City Commissioner Al Schmidt says human error, like poll workers...

State Board of Elections officials on Thursday ordered the results of Baltimore's primary elections decertified... .... city officials found 80 provisional ballots that had not been analyzed, and an unusually high discrepancy between the number of voters who checked in at polling places and the number of ballots cast. The number of ballots cast at the polls was higher than the number of check-ins at the polls, she said. ....

  • EDITORIAL: North Carolina answers Democrats’ question ‘What vote fraud?’

    04/13/2014 5:52:15 AM PDT · by afraidfortherepublic · 42 replies
It’s an article of the faith of the Democrats that voter fraud is nothing to worry about because it never happens. Kim Strach, the North Carolina director of elections, has living proof — and some dead proof — otherwise. She has identified 35,750 persons who voted in North Carolina sharing a name, birth date and Social Security number with someone who voted in another state in 2012. Another 81 North Carolinians voted after they died. Ghosts have no constitutional rights, not yet, but Barack Obama and the Democrats think rigor mortis need not keep voters from practicing good citizenship. President...

I don't usually do deep political analysis, particularly when it comes to getting down and dirty with demographics, but I'm fascinated by this story, and it seems particularly appropriate on Halloween: An analysis of state-wide records by the Poughkeepsie Journal reveals that 77,000 dead people remain on election rolls in New York State, and some 2,600 may have managed to vote after they had died. The study also found that Democrats are more successful at voting after death than Republicans, by a margin of four-to-one, largely because so many dead people seem to vote in Democrat-dominated New York City. In...

A second dead voter cast a ballot in the September special election held to fill the seat vacated by former state senator John Ford. Like a similar case documented earlier this week, this one involves an elderly voter who died weeks before the Sept. 15 election, an investigation by The Commercial Appeal found. Both of the suspect votes occurred in Precinct 27-1, in the heart of heavily Democratic North Memphis. The two votes could loom large as Republican Terry Roland presses his challenge of the 13-vote victory by Ford's sister, Ophelia Ford. The two ballots also are the subject of...
