Just saw the driver of the millenium on CNN's Inside Politics and he was asked directly for proof of his charge of bribery. He went into a rant about "coercion" and "loans to Turkey" being made. Pathetic.

Peligro, whose real name is Darren Henley, died from head trauma sustained during an accidental fall, a Twitter post from the band said. The cause of the fatal impact was not released. Henley joined the legendary punk rock group in 1981 and made his recorded debut with the band on the record, “In God We Trust, Inc.” Following Dead Kennedys’ break up in 1986, Henley briefly joined Red Hot Chili Peppers in 1988. ReelzChannel is getting back into the Kennedy family business, and once again likely to make some waves. In November, the network that aired the Emmy-winning 2011 miniseries "The Kennedys" will debut "JFK: The Smoking Gun," a new documentary offering the theory that John F. Kennedy was killed, not by Lee Harvey Oswald’s rifle, but by the friendly-fire bullet of an inexperienced Secret Service agent. "The only possible gun that could have been in that area is that Secret Service gun. So the finding is that it was an accidental discharge. Nobody's claiming anybody did anything wrong. But at the time,...

As the credits begin to roll on the year 2012, I would like to take proper note of the recent loss of one of America’s most compelling figures, Judge Robert Heron Bork. Robert Bork died on December 19 in Arlington, Virginia at the age of 85 due to complications of heart disease. I never had the honor of meeting Judge Bork. But his book, The Tempting of America, has become a regular reference artifact for me personally. In this taut tome, Bork effectively teaches the intended mission of the Supreme Court of the United States. He explains the crucial role...

To all of you Kennedy groupies out there, go find yourself a grief counselor. Call the Samaritans. As the sign on the Sagamore bridge says, suicide is not the answer. This morning, for the first time since January 1953, there is neither a Kennedy nor a Kennedy-family retainer “representing” Massachusetts in the U.S. Senate

Bay State Republicans yesterday all but dared Gov. Deval Patrick to name former Gov. Michael Dukakis as an interim senator - saying the move would yoke the plummeting incumbent to the disastrous Democratic regime of the bad old Taxachusetts era. “Go ahead - make my day,” said Christy Mihos, a GOP businessman challenging Patrick for the Corner Office. “Politically I hope they do this. It will give us another arrow in our quiver to show them for what they are.” Beacon Hill lawmakers are expected to pass a measure allowing Patrick to choose a temporary replacement for the late U.S....

Patricia Kennedy Lawford, the sister of President John F. Kennedy and wife of actor Peter Lawford, died at her New York home of complications of pneumonia on Sunday, according to a family statement. She was 82. "My sister Pat is irreplaceable," Massachusetts Democratic Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (news, bio, voting record) said in a statement. "Everyone who knew Pat adored her. She was admired for her great style, for her love and support of the arts, her wit and generosity — and for the singular sense of wonder and joy she brought into our lives." Lawford is survived by four...

I had to take an extra day off to recover from this weekend's activities, but I'm back now, and ready to give a full report. On Friday I attended the Phoenix stop on the Punk Voter tour which promotes the CD compilation "Rock Against Bush". The concert featured such huge acts as NOFX, Alkaline Trio, and Authority Zero. I didn't pay to get in of course, I have a friend who gets free tickets to everything. To ensure that we would stand out in the crowd of dyed hair and ripped jeans, I wore my "Bush Cheney in '04" hat...
