AFTER WORK ON FRIDAY, I take the Red Line Metro train to Takoma Park, and walk a few blocks west to witness the Code Pink protest (and Free Republic counter-protest) outside the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. My first stop is to visit the Freepers and thank them for their support. When they realize who I am, they greet me like a conquering hero.
