CHICAGO Total advertising revenues for Journal Register Co. fell 4.7% in the four weeks ended Aug. 27 compared with the same period a year ago, the Yardley, Pa.-based publisher said Monday. For period eight, ad revenues were $32.2 million, compared with $33.8 million for the four weeks ended Aug. 28, 2005. On a year-to-date basis, Journal Register said ad revenues are lagging last year by 3.0%. On a pro forma basis, assuming it owned the same properties during period eight this year and last, Journal Register ad revenues decreased 5.9% from last year.
